‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown’s Birthday Slip Sends Fans Into a Tizzy; ‘We Know What You Meant’
Sister Wives fans went into a tizzy after Kody Brown made a significant birthday slip during a video segment with his wife, Robyn Brown. The couple discussed the upcoming Brown family birthdays. However, he first said one number, seemingly referring only to his fourth wife Robyn‘s children, before correcting himself and adding two of his offspring and a wife.
‘Sister Wives’ fans long-believed Robyn Brown is Kody’s favorite wife
The fourth of Kody’s wives, Robyn, was brought into the Brown family by both Kody and Meri.
In 2010, during the series’ first season, Kody courted and married his fourth wife, Robyn. She was the first new wife to enter the family in 16 years.
Since she entered the family after leaving a tumultuous relationship, Robyn has appeared to allow Kody to become the only focus in her life. As Kody always enjoys leading his wives, he happily took on the role.
In sharp contrast, Christine, Meri, and Janelle Brown were more independent and didn’t rely on Kody as much as Robyn, who always acknowledged Kody as the head of their family.
In the video, Robyn and Kody discussed several upcoming birthdays
In a Reddit post, fans clapped back after Kody and Robyn appeared to forget other family members who had birthdays around the same time as Robyn’s children. Within the post, the video was embedded and Kody’s mistake was visible.
“We also have two birthdays coming up. Well, five,” Kody slipped in a video made in 2020.
“Garrison, Breanna, Aurora, Christine, and Truly,” the Brown patriarch explained.
Robyn chimed in with how vital this birthday was for Aurora, as it was her 18th which was “kind of a big deal.”
Fans reacted to Kody’s slipup by taking him to task in the comments section of the Reddit post.
“God, this is so bad. Such a Freudian slip,” penned one fan.
“We know what you meant, Kody,” wrote a second viewer.
“Those are Janelle’s and Christine’s kids. The only kids he ever says “our” about are Sobyn’s,” exclaimed a third Reddit user.
“He completely forgot about two of his kids and his wife of over 20 years,” said a fourth fan of the reality television family.
The Browns have reportedly filmed season 17 of ‘Sister Wives’
According to Christine and Kody’s son Paedon Brown, the family began filming season 17 of Sister Wives in Jan. 2022.
Christine split from the polygamist clan and moved to Utah. However, according to Paedon, she has filmed for this season.
Season 17 will most likely focus on Kody’s multiple broken relationships with his wives and children.
The family has been silent about the current state of their relationships on social media.
TLC has not yet announced a release date for the new season.
Sister Wives is currently on hiatus.
