‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Blames Christine for Split — ‘She Murdered Our Intimacy With Betrayal’
On the Jan 23 episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown blames Christine Brown for ruining their intimacy within their marriage. He says that she “murdered” their “intimacy with betrayal.” What does Kody mean by betrayal?
Kody isn’t interested in an ‘intimate marriage’ with Christine
Christine holds back tears during the recent episode as she recounts her conversation with Kody. She and Kody were putting a door in for her bedroom, and he was worried about the cat getting in her room.
Christine asked him, “‘I need to know, is the door just about the cat and it’s not about us having an intimate side of our marriage?'” She said, “He goes, ‘I’m not really interested in that anymore.'”
Christine explains Kody said: “‘I’m really not interested in having an intimate marriage anymore. I don’t like your behavior. We will see if you can be a good sister wife.'”
The Sister Wives star explained to Kody that not having an intimate marriage isn’t what she wants. She said, “That’s not enough for me. I can’t not have an intimate marriage.”
Kody says Christine ‘murdered’ the intimacy in their marriage with ‘betrayal’
Christine decides that Kody won’t be allowed into her bedroom anymore since their marriage is no longer romantic. He said, “I got to admit, this isn’t totally unexpected. Because honestly, we’ve had serious troubles in our marriage for 12 years.”
Kody doesn’t know if Christine keeping him from the bedroom is “a phase” or “an awakening.” He says, “The reason I wonder if this is a phase with Christine or something else, is because she’s been telling wives and adult children that she’s wanted to leave me for years.”
He continues, “She tells me nothing special happens in our room. That’s because she’s murdered our intimacy with betrayal.”
He explains, “And the betrayal is the fact that I keep hearing from other people that she’s threatening to leave. So I am wondering if it’s just going to pass. But that’s the only thing I can speculate on is the fact that I don’t feel intimate because I’ve been betrayed. Because I’m constantly hearing this thing.”
Kody and Christine talk about their divorce on the ‘One on One’ reunion episode
The upcoming Jan 30 episode of Sister Wives will be a special “One on One” reunion, where Kody and Christine will speak in-depth about their separation and divorce. Sister Wives fans know that Kody pushed Christine away by telling her he didn’t want an intimate relationship. However, Kody denies that he put a stop to the intimacy.
He said, “I never said no, that we weren’t going to be intimate again.” In the tell-all preview, the host asks Christine, “Where are you and Kody?” She reveals, “Kody and I are divorced.” She tells the host, “[It’s the] hardest time of my life.”
Then the host asks Kody more about the end of his marriage with Christine. She asks, “Did she ever hear you say I don’t want you to leave?” Kody answers, “No.”
