‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown, Jenn Sullivan Shut Down Kody Brown’s NSFW Remark with ‘Salty’ Reply
There was no way Sister Wives star Meri Brown was going to let ex-husband Kody Brown talk about her ride-or-die friendship with Jenn Sullivan. After he made an NSFW comment about Meri’s close relationship with her friends, Meri and Jenn replied on Instagram with not one, not two, but three posts in response to his nasty remarks.
Meri Brown didn’t stand for Kody Brown calling her friends ‘b****es’
During Sister Wives Season 19 Episode 18, Kody Brown made a pretty disparaging comment about the friends of ex-wife Meri Brown. He appears to be unhappy with the way Meri is no longer playing by his rules and encourages her to “ditch those b****es” and find a good man.
Of course, Kody didn’t say this to Meri’s face. He shared his thoughts about her friends, including her BFF Jenn Sullivan, in a confessional.
As Sister Wives confessionals are taped separately from the scenes filmed for the series, Meri likely saw Kody’s commentary for the first time when the episode aired on Sunday, Jan. 19. She took to Instagram to reply.
Meri’s first post read, “Ditch those b****es?? I think we can talk about that…It’s about to get salty!! Monday night it’s on.”
The second was an image of Meri and Jenn wearing custom-made sweatshirts. Meri’s said, “Never gonna ditch…” and Jenn continued, “…the b****.” The caption read, “B****craft: The art of pissing people off while smiling sweetly.”
However, it was Meri’s third post where she got “salty” toward Kody’s comment. She and Jenn starred in a slickly produced video where they had some choice words for Meri’s ex-husband.
Meri and Jenn are the ‘Salty Birches’
Meri Brown debuted a new business, piggybacking on Kody Brown’s rude commentary about her friends. She calls the project Salty Birches which is also rumored to be the name of her and Jenn’s new podcast that they’ve been teasing since Jan. 3, 2025.
The video is set to music, as Meri and Jenn Sullivan respond to each other’s statements. They speak of their friendship but manage to get a few pointed jabs in at Kody as well.
Meri said, “No more silence, I’ll be heard.” Jenn responded, “I’m never quiet, say the word.”
“Ride or die until the end,” Meri continued. “It’s great to have a salty friend,” Jenn joked.
“Just ask my ex,” Meri joked. “Oh he’ll tell you,” responded Jenn.
“Jenn’s the b****” Meri concluded. “Hey Kody, f*** you!” Jenn responded.

Meri Brown shut off comments for the video clip. However, they were left on for her other posts. Fans took to the Instagram post where Meri and Jenn sported matching NSFW sweatshirts to share their remarks.
One wrote, “He’s just mad at [Jenn] because she says the truth.” A second claimed, “You understood the assignment ladies.”
A third Instagram user responded, “His statements still shock me somehow. Unreal he would say this about your friends. Only weak men can’t handle their wives having friends.”
“I can’t believe he called her friends that word. Like WTF,” noted a fourth viewer.
Sister Wives airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
