TLC is just one week away from debuting the 19th season of Sister Wives. As the premiere draws closer, the infamous reality TV network is giving fans a glimpse into what is to come and the mindset of the cast ahead of the season premiere. A recent word association promo has convinced everyone that Kody Brown remains bitter about the end of his plural marriages.

Kody Brown angers fans with his word-association answers

TLC is giving Sister Wives fans plenty of content ahead of the season premiere. In the latest promo for the upcoming season, uploaded to Instagram, the cast is asked to do a word association. While Kody’s three former wives appear relaxed and happy, the former Brown family patriarch seems tense. One prompt, in particular, annoyed Sister Wives fans.

In one scene, Kody quips that “marriage” now means “the source of all joy.” His response came with a haughty laugh, but Sister Wives fans don’t find anything funny about his statement. In fact, it just proves that the father of 18 has not learned anything from the end of his first three marriages.

Instead of becoming introspective and considering his role in the demise of his marriages, Kody appears hellbent on seeing his former wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown, as the problems. Kody also seems interested in throwing jabs at the three women. They didn’t do the same. While Sister Wives fans were irked by his sentiments, his former wives appear almost entirely unbothered.

Kody Brown’s ex-wives don’t seem to care what he thinks any longer

Kody Brown wasn’t the only one to answer questions about the feelings or words he associates with marriage. Meri Brown and Janelle Brown also responded to the question. Meri stated that she thought of the word “happy” when presented with the word marriage. Meri did not have a happy marriage with Kody Brown. Still, it’s obvious that she is still a romantic at heart and hopes for a happy ending. Meri briefly dated a man named Amos Andrews following her divorce. They split after just a few months. She has not revealed a new love interest but has made it clear she isn’t against finding love again.

Janelle Brown seems against the notion of marrying again. The mother of six finished her word association for the word “marriage” with “never again.” Shortly after leaving Kody Brown behind, Janelle suggested she would still be open to joining a polygamist family. Her feelings apparently have since changed. Considering her recent move and interest in independence, Janelle is probably better suited to the single life.

The short clip posted to TLC’s Instagram account did not include Christine Brown and Robyn Brown’s associations with the word “marriage.” While Christine didn’t answer the prompt in the video, Sister Wives fans can probably assume she would associate the word with her now-husband, David Woolley. The couple’s early romance will be featured in the show’s upcoming season.
