‘Sister Wives’: Paedon Brown Reveals That Robyn Brown Was a ‘Big Reason’ For Flagstaff Move
TLC cameras have spent more than 10 years documenting the life of the polygamist Brown family. Still, some actions remain nearly inexplicable to Sister Wives fans. The family’s sudden decision to move from Las Vegas to Flagstaff, Arizona in 2018, is one of them. Fans simply can’t wrap their minds around the rationale, and there has been a ton of speculation about what fueled the decision. Paedon Brown, Christine Brown and Kody Brown’s son, just confirmed the validity of one theory, though.
The Brown family moved to Flagstaff, shocking fans and family members
Kody Brown and his four wives, along with several of their children, moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, in 2018. The move seemed to come seemingly out of nowhere. It shocked both viewers and some of the family’s children. Christine and Kody’s daughter, Aspyn Thompson, who was married and out of the home before the move, described the decision as “random.” She questioned her mother about the decision.
Janelle Brown, Kody’s second wife, had minor children to consider during the move. Her son, Gabriel Brown, was particularly upset with the family’s decision. In an act of defiance, Gabriel didn’t pack a single item from his bedroom ahead of the move. Then a junior in high school, Gabe opted to finish high school early and enroll in college after being ripped from his friends and his wrestling team.
Aspyn, along with several of her siblings, now lives in Utah. Gabriel remains in Flagstaff close to his mother. In 2021, Christine Brown, Kody’s third wife, opted to end her marriage and move to Utah to be closer to her children, including Aspyn, Paedon, and Mykelti Padron.
Paedon Brown adds validity to ‘Sister Wives’ fans’ theory that Roby Brown was behind the move
Sister Wives fans have suspected Robyn Brown, Kody’s fourth and legal wife, might have been behind the family’s sudden decision to pack up their homes in Las Vegas. Fans theorized that Robyn wanted to remain close to her oldest son, Dayton Brown. Dayton had recently graduated high school when the family made the decision. Dayton enrolled in a Flagstaff-area college shortly after arriving in town. Fans suspected Dayton had applied before the move took place.
While Paedon didn’t explicitly state that Dayton’s college choice was the reason for the move, he did validate some of the theory. Paedon told his TikTok followers that the family picked Flagstaff for many reasons, but Robyn’s desires played a large role in the final decision. He stopped short of explaining why Robyn wanted to leave Las Vegas.
Robyn Brown and Kody Brown appear to be mongamous
Whether or not Robyn was the driving force behind the move, it certainly seemed to benefit her the most. Since arriving in town, the family has been forced to live far from each other. Kody appeared to be making an effort to see each of his wives for a while, but that effort has completely stopped in the last couple of years.
Kody and Robyn appear to be living a monogamous life together. Christine opted to leave her marriage when she learned intimacy was completely off the table. Kody remains completely estranged from his first wife, Meri Brown, and recently stated that he is not “in love” with his second wife, Janelle, either. Was that Robyn’s plan all along? That remains to be seen, but some Sister Wives fans think she’s been aiming for monogamy for years.
