‘Sister Wives’ Robyn Brown’s Cruelest Actions Against the Brown Family Ahead of Season 19
Sister Wives star Robyn Brown is one of the most disliked cast members of the TLC series. Her reputation for stealing Kody Brown’s heart and the family’s resources is legendary. But have some of her actions been crueler than others?
Robyn Brown’s cruelest actions in the series history
Why does Robyn Brown have the worst reputation of any other cast member on Sister Wives? This is likely because the decisions she’s made that have been featured on-camera have been less than favorable toward Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown and their children.
In a Reddit post, fans debated some of her cruelest actions in the show’s history. The TLC star has engaged in some cringey moments during the series’ 19 seasons.
The overall winner in the cruel department was Robyn’s insistence on an 11-day honeymoon, leaving Christine home with a newborn and all the other children to care for. “Robyn also said that Christine called her when they returned and asked if she needed 11 days for the honeymoon. She said yes, right to the camera. Not a care in the world that he bailed on her with a newborn so he could run off with his mistress for 11 days,” declared one fan.
“She gave away her purity! That little speech made her children look like they were born out of wedlock,” wrote a second viewer.
“Robyn was so stingy when it came to feeding the OG13. And yet the OG3 were beyond generous to her and her kids,” noted a third Redditor.
Finally, a fourth fan wrote, “She took a photo from when they were babies and a photo of Kody with Christine and her kids at a young age and brought it to an artist. She had him draw a big portrait to ‘create a memory’ and make it look like Kody was their dad from the beginning.”
But that appeared to be just the beginning of Robyn’s unkind behavior. Still, she considered herself the “Brown family scapegoat” and played victim after her actions backfired. And, of course, Kody came to her rescue.
Robyn Brown’s unkindness continued
There are many other instances of Robyn Brown’s unkindness toward her sister wives and their children. For Robyn’s intent on being part of a big polygamist family, she appeared to do everything to buck her inclusion.
She let Meri announce her pregnancy with Ariella, a cruel move as Meri could not conceive more children. When Robyn announced her pregnancy with Solomon, she was unhappy that the family’s teenagers showed no reaction.
Robyn took her sister wives wedding dress shopping, getting their input and pretending like she was including them in this major decision. She later went to the shop alone with Kody to make her selection.
She encouraged Meri to hang on in a loveless, pointless marriage just to torture her until Meri woke up that Kody no longer wanted to remain married. The touchiest point of all was a nanny during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic when Kody wouldn’t allow the family to gather, even outside—still, a nanny came in daily to care for his younger children.
Can she ever redeem her reputation?
It is unlikely that Robyn Brown will ever be able to redeem her reputation. There have been too many instances of her being caught in lies and hurting other people to even begin to ask for forgiveness.
It would be nice if Robyn (and Kody Brown) would own up to her part in the family’s dissolution. If they could look at the camera and say their relationship should have been monogamous from the start, they shouldn’t have hurt the other woman and their children by leading them on.
Robyn and Kody should also apologize on-camera for taking family resources for their own needs. Their lavishly decorated Flagstaff, Arizona house that is currently on the market for $1.6 is a testament to how much of the family pot the couple dipped into.
However, none of those instances will likely occur. Kody and particularly Robyn, will never own up to to their bad behavior, even though they were caught on-camera making these mistakes. Therefore, Robyn’s reputation will remain as is, one of the most disliked women in reality television.
