‘Sister Wives’ Star Christine Brown Jokes About Infamous Nacho Incident 

Christine Brown is poking fun at a notorious incident involving her ex-husband Kody Brown. 

The Sister Wives star recently took to social media to joke about the time she disgusted Kody by eating gas station nachos, an incident he discussed in the family’s memoir, Becoming Sister Wives.

Christine Brown isn’t ashamed of her love of nachos  

In the July 1 Instagram update, Christine recalled the moment when she turned Kody off with her love of nachos. The two were dating at the time, but when Kody watched his future wife scarf down a tray of the gas station snack while on a road trip, he began to question his attraction to her. 

“So, I don’t know if you’ve read our book or not, but in it, Kody talk about how I was eating nachos and it really, really grossed him out,” she said in a video shared with her followers. “This is the gas station where I got the nachos at,” she added as she showed viewers the convenience store in question. 

This time, Christine was accompanied not by Kody but by her new husband David Wooley. David isn’t judging his wife for her enthusiasm for the iconic snack. 

“He likes the way I eat my nachos,” Christine captioned a post, which included a video of the pair enjoying the nachos together in their car. 

“We are at the gas station where I at nachos, infamously, years ago,” she said.  

“I like nachos in the morning,” David added.

‘Sister Wives’ star Kody Brown was repulsed by Christine eating nachos 

David’s reaction to Christine’s enthusiasm for nachos is in stark contrast to Kody’s response to seeing her eat the snack years ago. 

As Kody recalled in Becoming Sister Wives, he and Christine were on a road trip together early in their relationship. At the time, he thought she “was the cutest girl in the world, although she was a little chubby.”

But Kody’s opinion began to change when they stopped to grab something to eat. 

“Christine went into the Quickie Mart and bought herself what seemed like the largest portion of chili chees nachos that I’d ever seen,” he wrote. “The sight of those nachos turned my stomach. She must have been starving because she was eating so quickly, and there was chili sauce and nacho cheese everywhere.”

“Looking back, I hate myself for the thoughts I had at that moment, but the sights of this chubby girl in my car devouring chili cheese nachos for breakfast put the brakes on our relationship,” he added. 

Christine had no idea that her choice of a snack had changed Kody’s opinion of her. 

“Of course, I had no idea that I’d grossed Kody out with my nachos,” she shared in Becoming Sister Wives. “I was an overweight kid who liked junk food a little too much. And of all the junk food in the world, chili cheese nachos were my favorite.”

While Kody and Christine went on to marry and have six children together, his lack of attraction to her was an issue in their marriage. In November 2021, the pair announced that they had ended their relationship after more than 25 years together. Christine married David in October 2023.
