TLC pulled the curtain back on the Brown family’s troubles while Christine Brown spoke her truth
Over the past several seasons of Sister Wives, the Browns began to pull back the curtain on the inner workings of their polygamist clan. Christine has taken the opportunity to speak her truth regarding the relationships between the women and their shared husband Kody.
Kody Brown and his wives, Christine, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn Brown, appeared to get along ahead of the family’s move to Flagstaff, Arizona. While Christine addressed some jealousy issues toward Robyn, the show also dove into Janelle and Meri’s complicated personal history. Ultimately, Kody and his wives and Kody appeared to be a family unit.
However, the family’s move to Flagstaff, Arizona, spotlighted some natural fissures in the Brown family’s foundation.
The move to another state left a more significant divide between the clan, which began when they all moved to separate homes in Las Vegas. Although each family lived in a cul de sac, they still had separate houses, allowing for a distance between the wives and children.
Moving to Arizona further distances the family members from one another, as some lived miles away in different homes. The children didn’t see each other regularly, and many of the adult children lived far away in other states.
‘Sister Wives’ fans believe Christine Brown spoke the truth
In a Reddit post titled “Christine was always telling the truth,” viewers sang the praises of Kody Brown’s third wife, who left her polygamist marriage in Nov. 2021.
The original poster wrote the following remarks regarding their claim Christine was always very transparent about her feelings and the reality of the situation within the Brown family.
“I’m rewatching the show, and I remember when I watched it years ago when it first aired, I disliked Christine. She was always complaining and frustrated about something, whereas the other wives seemed more easygoing. She seemed so annoying and entitled,” wrote the Redditor.
However, they had a change of heart.
“Now, rewatching it, I realize that she was the only one being truthful about their home situation. Everyone was wearing a mask and making it seem like it was all harmonious when we now know it wasn’t,” they wrote.
Other fans agreed Christine spoke the truth at all times during her confessionals.
“I did not understand the intensity of Kody’s gaslighting until the ‘look at the mountain’ meeting this last season,” wrote one fan. “He sat in Christine’s house, backed her up 100%, and then completely abandoned her in the group discussion. He looked at her like she was insane and asked her in that patronizing slow-talk baby voice, ‘What did you think would happen?’ like he didn’t know EXACTLY what she thought because he was the one who told her,” they concluded.
A second fan claimed, “Christine wasn’t asking for the privilege. It was the basics of a relationship that Kody couldn’t/wouldn’t provide. Time, attention, support. Hardly luxuries.”
Will ‘Sister Wives’ return for season 17?
According to Christine’s 23-year-old son, Paedon Brown, she’s currently filming for season 17 with the rest of the Brown family.
A fan asked Christine’s only son, “Will your mom return if there’s another season of Sister Wives?” Paedon replied, “They are filming currently.” Reddit shared this information.
However, while the family may be filming, there has not yet been a release date announced for the show’s next season.
Sister Wives is currently on hiatus.
