‘sMothered’ Stars Gabriella and Catherine Spotted Twinning in Miami
Gabriella Vigorito and Catherine Galasso-Vigorito of TLC’s sMothered are taking Miami. The memorable mom-and-daughter duo strutted their stuff on the streets of the Florida city on July 1. Unsurprisingly, the pair donned matching white outfits as they posed for photographers.
Gabriella and her mom, Catherine, are known for appearing on the reality series about mothers and daughters with extremely close relationships. The show has followed along as Gabriella attempts to follow in her mom’s footsteps as a pageant queen.
Gabriella and Catherine looked ready for a relaxing beach day in identical white dresses, which they accessorized with straw totes and gold sandals.
On her Instagram Story, Gabriella posted about her early-morning flight to Miami, followed by a day of shopping and the “skinilicious” salad she had for lunch.
The sMothered stars live in Connecticut, but they are regular visitors to Florida. In June, they rocked another matching look during an appearance at Miami Swim Week.
On May 30, Gabriella and her mom wore matching pink minidresses emblazoned with rosettes when they attended the Art Hearts Fashion event at Miami Swim Week.
Gabriella and Catherine don’t just dress alike. They sometimes work together, as when they both walked the runway wearing Rian Fernandez gowns during New York Fashion Week in February 2024.
Gabriella referenced her runway experience during a controversial April 2024 TikTok where she vented about failing to place in this year’s Miss Connecticut USA pageant.
“I was on a reality tv show, I was the face of the show, I went on a national media tour, I walked in New York Fashion Week with Miss Universe,” she said in the video. “And I’m not good enough to make a top 5 in Miss Connecticut USA?”
Catherine won the Miss Connecticut USA title in 1988 and went on to compete in the Miss USA pageant. Though Gabriella has previously placed in the Miss Connecticut USA pageant, she’s been unable to replicate her mom’s success, much to her frustration.
“When you have a certain level of status, I guess they don’t want you to win,” she said. “They did not want me to win and they did not want me to have more success.”
“It’s not like there was crazy competition. Connecticut is not a big pageant state,” Gabriella added before declaring she was would no longer compete in the pageant.
“If they didn’t want me this year, they’re not going to want me next year,” she said. “So we’re done.”
