‘Snowfall’ Star Damson Idris Responds to Rumors He’s Dating Dream Doll
Damson Idris’ name has been on everyone’s lips these days. He’s an up-and-coming actor with a starring role on the FX TV show Snowfall, which premiered in 2017 and has continued for four successful seasons. More recently, however, Idris found himself in the news not because of his work but because of speculation surrounding his love life.
During the week of April 25, Idris was linked to New York rapper Dream Doll. But he was quick to shut the rumors down, refuting them on his social media.
How the Damson Idris and Dream Doll dating rumors started
As HotNewHipHop notes, the rumors started after Idris and Dream Doll (real name Tabatha Robinson) individually went to the same Oscars after-party. They were photographed standing next to each other, laughing together and leaning close to one another. The pictures led hundreds of people to assume that they were a couple. But it turns out that’s not the case.
Amid the speculation, Idris, 29, took to his Twitter to clarify that he and Dream Doll are not together. “Ok. So don’t pose near women because then we are apparently married. 📝 Forgive me, I’m still learning,” he wrote.
After The Shade Room reposted his response, Dream Doll took to the comment section to point out that she and Idris had actually just met the night the photo was taken. “Y’all need to relax ….. Potential boo? I literally just met him yesterday it was just a damn photo,” said the “Who You Loving?” rapper.
Dream Doll, 28, also made a note on Twitter that she would begin interacting with her male peers differently to avoid such rumors in the future. “Imma start nodding my head to say hi to guys y’all steady assuming sh*t,” she continued.
Who have Damson Idris and Dream Doll previously dated?
Previously, Idris was linked to model Adwoa Aboah after they were spotted at a dinner Netflix and Vogue hosted in 2019. He never confirmed or denied the speculation, but he seems to be single as of writing. In an interview to promote his new Netflix film Outside the Wire, he admitted his “dream” girls are Halle Berry, Sanaa Lathan, and Nia Long.
For her part, Dream Doll has been linked to Safaree Samuels, Justin Combs, Lil’ Uzi Vert, and Tory Lanez. Her last known relationship was with rapper YBN Almighty Jay, whom she dated for a few months in 2019. Dream Doll never directly commented on the reason they broke up, but in a video with YouTube star BLovesLife, she hinted that alleged domestic violence had played a part.
“I just deserve better and I know my worth. I know how I should be treated. I know men are not supposed to put their hands on women and…that’s just that,” she said.
