Social Media Oversharing: Four Times Celebrities Took It Too Far on Instagram
Way back in 2010, John Mayer was embroiled in a bit of a scandal when he discussed his sex life with his very famous ex, Jessica Simpson. Nine years ago, people were shocked by his openness. The acceptance of social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram have made those TMI moments from celebrities all the more common. Do you remember these blatant social media overshares?
Lena Dunham documented a trip to the gynecologist back in 2015
Back In 2015, Lena Dunham created a little bit of a stir on Instagram when she shared a snapshot of herself waiting on her gynecologist. Legs in stirrups, and a paper grown covering her lap, she captioned the photo “living young, wild and free.” While some fans applauded her openness, a lot of people just assumed gynecologist visits didn’t need to be documented.
Strangely enough, this is far from the most controversial thing Dunham has done in recent history. In 2014 Dunham kind-of, sort-of suggested she molested her young sibling in her book. In 2018 she admitted to lying about sexual misconduct on the set of Girls. According to CNN, Dunham had come out in defense of Murray Miller when Aurora Perrineau accused the writer of raping her in 2012. Dunham claimed to have insider information that would prove Miller’s innocence. She later admitted no such proof existed.
Audrey Roloff just let fans know exactly when she conceived her second child
Jeremy and Audrey Roloff are pretty polarizing. People either thing the young couple, who once stared on LItlte People, Big World, is sweet as pie, or they think they are arrogant for assuming they have the secret to long-lasting love.
Either way, the couple stepped away from in front of the camera to pursue their own business, but they are happy to share the details of their lives on social media and their podcast. The Roloff’s don’t seem to think any information is off-limits. In fact, they just let fans know exactly when they conceived their second child. In case you were wondering, it was on their book tour.
Miley Cyrus has made public comments about Liam Hemsworth’s package
In case you ladies didn’t know, you can find a man who has it all, well, at least that’s what Miley Cyrus believes. In a 2018 Instagram post, Cyrus let the world know that Hemsworth is tall, empathetic, and he has a good “d**k game.”
The post caught attention because it was a comment by Miley, not directly linked on her social media page. The former Disney star isn’t one to hold back, though. She has discussed her sex life everywhere, including on The Howard Stern Show and with Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Kayley Cuoco likes to post pictures of herself on the toilet
Kayley Cuoco raised eyebrows back in 2014 when he let fans know how she multi-tasks. Apparently, her version of multi-tasking includes inviting another person or two into the bathroom with you. In the photo, Cuoco is sitting on the toilet, while someone fixes her hair and jewelry. There must be a third person in the room because someone had to take the photo.
Cuoco may have stared on a show about a group of socially awkward geniuses, but fans think even they’d know better than to share a bathroom photo. Either way, no one can dislike this star. Cuoco won’t be playing Penny any longer, but fans will be able to catch her a new animated series. She is taking on the role of Harley Quinn, according to Cinema Blend.
