Someone Called Scott Disick a ‘Fun Uncle’ and the Name Just Might Stick
Scott Disick has been called a lot of things, but responsible has rarely been one of them.
For a while, it seemed like he would never step up to the plate and be the father his kids needed. After his most recent (and seemingly final) breakup with Kourtney Kardashian, things took a turn for Disick. He’s sober now, and taking it seriously.
He even apparently went to rehab preemptively earlier this year. And he’s being more responsible in a lot of ways.
Scott Disick is helping out with Kim Kardashian’s kids
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are having a very public marital problem. It seems like Kanye is in the middle of a manic episode, and refusing to get help. This has been apparently hard on Kim, who posted about Kanye’s bipolar disorder and asked for fans to respect their privacy.
Unfortunately, the paparazzi followed her to visit Kanye in Wyoming, where she was photographed in a Wendy’s drive-through. Kim appeared to be crying and yelling at Kanye.
This is obviously a difficult situation, and Kim needed a place for her kids to go. She is likely doing a lot of running around to try to figure out how to help Kanye, including meeting with lawyers and friends, and jetting off to Wyoming.
She’s also probably in a fragile emotional state, and wants her kids spared from that turmoil. Luckily, Uncle Scott and Aunt Kourtney are there for her. Disick and Kourtney have been spotted taking care of the Kardashian West brood, along with their own three children.
Although Kourtney posted pictures of herself with the kids on social media, Disick was caught by paparazzi running around on a beach with a horde of little ones.
It was a cute shot under any circumstance, but it’s especially sweet considering he’s helping out. Fans adore seeing Disick with the kids, and Reddit users have dubbed him “the Fun Uncle.”
This isn’t the first time Scott Disick has proven himself the Fun Uncle
As fans in the reddit thread pointed out, this isn’t the first time Disick has seemed like the Fun Uncle. His nieces and nephews are always excited to see them when they film together on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Although the long-running reality show is sometimes scripted, it’s hard to imagine they would (or could) fake a child’s excited reaction to seeing their favorite uncle. Fans have noticed how genuinely happy the kids are to see him, like Saint.
One fan remembered a particularly cute moment between the second Kardashian West child and Disick. “I forget what episode it was but Saint and Kim are outside and Scott comes out and he goes ‘UNCLE SCOTT!!!’ It was so cute.”
Saint isn’t the only Kardashian West kid to be excited to see the Fun Uncle. Another fan recalled an incident between Disick and North. “There was another episode where the second North saw Scott she ran right into his arms and gave him a huge hug. Scott has his problems but you can’t deny he really is great with all the kids.”
Scott Disick is basically a Kardashian
One thing fans love about Disick is that even though he and Kourtney are no longer together, he’s still part of the family. He chills with Kris, including dinners at her house. Sometimes he and Khloe hang out. Now, he’s helping Kim in her time of need. Fans haven’t missed how dedicated Disick is to the KarJen family.
As one fan pointed out, the KarJens are the only family Disick has left, and they’re there for each other. “You can tell how much Kris, Kim, and Khloe love Scott. It seems like after he and kourt broke up you could tell how much they loved him and want him in their lives. It makes me happy, especially since Scott lost his parents so suddenly, he really needed them.”
