‘Southern Charm’ Icon Kathryn Dennis and Boyfriend Chleb Ravenell Split Amid Season 8 Filming
Kathryn Dennis, star of Southern Charm, and her boyfriend Chleb Ravenell have called it quits. News of their separation comes as the cast films the eighth season of the Bravo series in Charleston, South Carolina. Dennis and Ravenell were together for a little over a year and an insider is giving details about their breakup.
What caused the breakup between Kathryn Dennis and Chleb Ravenell?
It was reported that Dennis and Ravenell have broken up and this split will most likely be documented on the new season of Southern Charm. The cast has been filming the Bravo reality series over the last couple of weeks. Dennis and Ravenell had just celebrated their first year together back in July with fans joining in on the celebration. A source is now revealing what happened between the couple and where they stand now.
“She broke up with him and they are no longer living together,” an insider told Us Weekly. “There is no bad ill-will between them.”
Ravenell is part of season 8 of Southern Charm and according to the tipster, Dennis wanted a bigger commitment from her significant other — something that he allegedly wasn’t willing to do.
“Her future husband would have to be this amazing stepfather to her children and be someone who would make a serious commitment to her, and [Ravenell] just wasn’t that,” the source added. “They weren’t meant to be and even friends of hers picked up on it. She has so much love in her life as is with her little kiddos.”
More ‘Southern Charm’ stars split with their significant others
Dennis is not the only Southern Charm cast member that has recently split up with their boyfriend. Naomie Olindo is coming back to the reality series following her breakup with Metul Shah. It was back in July that Olindo confirmed she had called it quits with Shah following a “betrayal.”
Many fans assumed Shah had cheated on Olindo and started sending him mean messages, which the latter asked them to stop while confirming she wasn’t getting back together with him.
“This is incredibly embarrassing and I feel so lost,” she posted on Instagram Stories (via Queens of Bravo). “I just ask that you please stop sending/saying hateful things to Metul. I have self-respect and I will not be getting back together with him, but he is also in a terrible place dealing with the consequences of his actions. Please don’t be mean, he is human and this situation is punishment enough.”
Craig Conover also split up with his girlfriend Natalie Hegnauer but has found himself in a new relationship with his Winter House co-star Paige DeSorbo. The latter will be making guest appearances on Southern Charm in the upcoming season.
Landon Clements slams Kathryn Dennis
Dennis has been one of the most controversial personalities on Southern Charm over the years and she and Landon Clements had a rocky relationship. The former castmate was a guest on Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast where she slammed Dennis for the way she is on the show.
“It’s just vile…she’ll do anything to stay relevant and in the limelight, she hasn’t really created any sort of life for herself outside the show,” Clements said about her former co-star. “When your whole life is wrapped up in that, then you have to always bring all the drama and bring all of this…It doesn’t need to be a storyline because she’s physically not on the show.”
