‘Southern Charm’: Madison LeCroy Says Austen Kroll Slept With Craig Conover’s Girlfriend
Madison LeCroy from Southern Charm doesn’t think Craig Conover’s new girlfriend is “the one” because “for instance, I mean Austen slept with her last summer!” LeCroy dropped the bomb on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“And now Craig’s dating her,” LeCroy added. “And I don’t know how they can be friends but they’re all concerned about what I’m doing. And I just think that’s gonna be a little too close to home if you know what I mean.”
Co-guest Leva Bonaparte sat next to LeCroy, mouth open as host Andy Cohen looked shocked. Cohen observed that the men on the series like to “drink out of the same well.” Bonaparte agreed. “Yeah, they like to share,” she replied.
LeCroy has reason to shade Conover. Shep Rose and Conover wedged themselves in the middle of LeCroy and Kroll’s relationship drama last season and their involvement got extremely messy.
Leva Boneparte is a little more optimistic about the relationship
Boneparte told Cohen she likes Conover’s girlfriend, Natalie Hegnauer. Boneparte also told US Weekly she thought Hegnauer could possibly be “the one” for Conover.
“I’ve met his current woman friend and, yeah, she’s really sweet, really beautiful, very quiet,” she said. “I think that’s what Craig needs. He kind of needs like a stoic strong, quiet girl, so he can be the social butterfly and, you know, feel confident and manly. I think this might be The One, I don’t know.”
Conover revealed he met Hegnauer on a ski trip in January and she came out to visit him. The pandemic circumstances created an environment for the couple to nest and Conover admitted he was in love.
Quarantine accelerated the relationship
Conover told US Weekly he wanted to be in a good place professionally before embarking upon a new relationship. “I’m dating and you’ll see that,” he said. “You know, the timing this year with filming and everything and figuring out [the coronavirus pandemic], you know, it makes it hard. You’ll see me dating. I wanted to get to a good place professionally and with the business and then, you know, it was time to open up, which was good.”
He later told Bravo’s The Daily Dish while quarantine was rosy, the couple later experienced bumps in the road. “Learning how to be out of quarantine with each other has been the challenge,” he said. “I thought if you can quarantine together, that means you’re fine.”
“But what [I didn’t] realize is we were in the honeymoon phase in a bubble, protected from the outside world,” he continued. “It did start to put a lot of pressure on things towards the end of it because we had only been dating for three months and were spending every day together. It definitely accelerates stuff.”
Are they still together? Conover and Hegnauer went on Instagram live during the recent episode from Conover’s home.
Southern Charm is on Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
