‘Southern Charm New Orleans’ Star Jeff Charleston Just Threw Major Shade at Reece Thomas
Southern Charm New Orleans is reminding us that being close with your ex can be hard. Now that Reagan Charleston and Jeff Charleston are divorced, Reagan has found love again. In fact, Reagan and her new husband, Reece Thomas, recently welcomed a baby daughter into the world.
However, some Southern Charm New Orleans fans were shocked by how quickly Reagan seemed to move on from Jeff. Since she found love again, their dynamic has been uncomfortable — which probably isn’t a huge surprise. And it seems like Jeff might have a few choice words for Reece Thomas, no matter how friendly a face he puts on.
Why did Reagan and Jeff split?
Fans and cast members of Southern Charm New Orleans were surprised when Reagan Charleston and Jeff Charleston ended their six year marriage. While many people were aware the couple had ups and downs, it seems most weren’t aware how bad things really were for the couple. Reagan Charleston has since discussed what it was like hiding their marital problems.
Reagan tweeted, “I didn’t talk about how messed up our marriage was because it was embarrassing and I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t happy. @jefecharleston wasn’t happy. It was constant volatility and turbulence at home. We were miserable.”
Jeff Charleston mentioned that he suffered from some mental illnesses as a result of his head injuries in the NFL, and that he didn’t know how to cope with them at the time. “I went through extreme depression and I didn’t know what depression was,” Jeff said to Reagan during a Bravo preview.
Reagan Thomas has also made it clear that their divorce was not financially motivated. “And to the imbeciles saying I left bc of what happened with @jefecharleston mom and saying it had to do with $ — we never had financial problems. Our house was paid off. I have a successful business. I was finishing law school. I have a super supportive fam,” she tweeted.
Who is Reece Thomas?
Now, the Southern Charm New Orleans star has found love again, this time in the arms of her college sweetheart, Reece Thomas. Reagan and Reece broke up after graduating college, but according to Reagan, coming back to Reece was effortless.
“I’d gone through this really difficult transition in my life after my divorce and I was looking at being 30 years old where my friends were getting married for the first time and having babies and starting families and I was looking at completely starting over. That was terrifying. But then Reece came back into my life and everything fell into place,” Reagan told People.
The couple have since had their first child, a baby girl they named Reece Ellis Thomas, after her father.
What does Jeff think about Reece?
Meanwhile, Jeff Charleston has been doing his best to appear equanimous since Reagan remarried. When the two men met for the first time at a party, Jeff leveled with Reece.
“Everywhere we go in life, there’s always gonna be an ex,” Jeff told Reece during a recent episode. “I think the biggest thing is just that respect. As long as we’re on the same page and there’s mutual respect and we have that, sh*t, we’ve got nothing to worry about,” said Jeff.
In an interview with RealityBuzz TV, Jeff Charleston made his true feelings about Reece clear. “[Reece] seems to drink a lot, and obviously I drink a lot and run, but I don’t drink that often,” said Jeff. “He had a gambling problem, he never really left home, ya know.”
Jeff went on to add, “I mean, all I can say is that he used to wear his mom’s clothes, and isn’t afraid to share that … He proposed in a horse stall. I don’t have to say anything. I’m just going to state facts and leave it at that.”
