‘Southern Charm’: Thomas Ravenel Defends Kathryn Dennis and Attacks Patricia Altschul
Thomas Ravenel from Southern Charm went on the attack when Patricia Altschul tweeted about spreading lies about someone’s family.
“Starting unfounded rumors about someone’s family are vicious, malicious and pernicious….,” Altschul wrote. Fans surmised that Altschul was referring to the rumor Kathryn Dennis started about Cameran Eubanks’ marriage. A Twitter follower shared that she had a direct message exchange with Altschul about the tweet.
The follower posted the exchange on the thread. “You can only hide the truth for so long then it all comes out,” Altschul wrote. “And it’s not pretty.”
Ravenel, who shares two children with Dennis, went on his own Twitter tirade, slamming Altschul and then revealing he planned to sue.
Thomas Ravenel is planning to take legal action?
Ravenel started a tweetstorm in response to Altschul’s remark. “The biggest liar/fraud I’ve ever known is someone that’s the bogus Bravo online tabloids portray as a Saint: Patricia Altschul,” Ravenel tweeted. Adding, “Sorry @WSUDLERSMITH but your mother is a lying piece of trash. #Facts.”
A Twitter follower responded that it wasn’t nice to talk that way about somebody’s mother. But Ravenel replied, “I know it’s not his fault that his mom is so f**ked up but the world needs to know before she f**ks up other people with children.” He added, “She lies practically half the time she opens her trap.”
Another person asked for the “lowdown” on Altschul. That’s when Ravenel hinted he was planning a lawsuit. “It will all come out in a forthcoming lawsuit,” he wrote.
Why are Patricia Altschul and Thomas Ravenel feuding?
Ravenel used to be a frequent guest in Altschul’s home and the two were friends. So what changed? The cast distanced themselves from Ravenel when he was accused of sexually assaulting the nanny of his children. But Ravenel also suggested that Altschul tried to send him to prison too.
“So my family gave me the riot act,” he tweeted and deleted in October 2019. “They said I had made some very bad decisions and it all boiled down to one thing: associating with trash. When I asked to whom they were referring, the name I heard will surprise you but if you only knew. PATRICIA ALTSCHUL.”
He insisted that “all will be revealed” and he was going to bring the “truth” to the surface. “I let her trash me for a year while keeping silent,” he wrote. “She was relentless. Lying left and right about me on national television and trashing me on social media. The truth about her needs to come out.”
Altschul as generally refrained from taking the bait from Ravenel. But he has continuously tweeted about her. In June he hinted that she tried to destroy him. “Well, that’s what she deserves but I personally wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Unlike her, I don’t try to destroy people. I only wish to reveal her true character which Bravo is flagrantly falfisying [sic],” he wrote Page Six reports.
