‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Fans Desperately Want Marvel to Make ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’ With Andrew Garfield
Sony had so much planned for Andrew Garfield and The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. But, unfortunately, all notions of future films got erased after the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The movie was poorly received by fans and critics, although many still praised Garfield for his portrayal of Peter Parker. Now, almost eight years after the sequel’s premiere, fans are calling for Sony and Marvel to work together to make The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Andrew Garfield reprised his role as Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’
Numerous fans are now talking about reviving The Amazing Spider-Man films because of Andrew Garfield’s surprise appearance as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Garfield, along with Tobey Maguire from the original Spider-Man trilogy, appeared in Tom Holland’s Spidey universe, thanks to a botched spell. Their involvement in the film had been rumored for multiple months before its premiere. But all those involved adamantly denied that the two former Spidey actors would reprise their roles. However, now we know they just wanted to keep their cameos a secret from the world.
Nevertheless, Marvel fans lost it when Garfield and Maguire showed up in Ned’s kitchen in Spider-Man: No Way Home. And seeing all three Peter Parkers together will undoubtedly go down as a momentous event in cinematic history.
Fans get ‘#MakeTASM3’ to trend on Twitter
After seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans were reminded of Andrew Garfield’s brilliance as Spider-Man. So, thousands took to Twitter to express their need to see Garfield as “Peter-Three” again. And since the actor never got to make a third The Amazing Spider-Man film, many are hoping he will now get the chance to.
One fan wrote, “He deserves a better script and a third movie.” Another user said, “Please #MakeTASM3! Andrew Garfield loves Spider-Man so much!”
One person also hilariously tweeted, “Andrew Garfield has the whole world in a chokehold [right now].”
“Now I’m seeing a lot of make TASM 3 tweets, and even though TASM 2 wasn’t all that amazing, I still want Andrew to receive a closure for his films cause he absolutely f***ing deserves it,” a fan tweeted. “Make it happen Sony and Marvel.”
One reason why Sony never made The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was that Marvel and Sony agreed to incorporate the web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And that’s where Tom Holland came in.
So, fans feel Garfield was cheated out of making more films and giving his Peter Parker closure. Hopefully, now, with fans’ support, the actor might be able to continue playing the character he loves so much.
Andrew Garfield reveals what it means to play Spider-Man
During an interview with Cinema Debate, Andrew Garfield discussed playing Spider-Man and what that role has meant to him.
“It’s bigger than me. It’s bigger than Tom Holland, it’s bigger than Tobey Maguire, it’s bigger than Miles Morales,” he shared. “Everyone can project themselves into that suit. It’s all of our story. The fact that I am, in any way, a part of that history is very moving to me. And I’m so, so lucky.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Andrew Garfield, is now playing in theaters.
