Feige loves Marvel Comics wanted every opportunity to bring new elements of Peter Parker to the big screen.
“I would point the comics and go, ‘when can we do this? When can we really take the shackles off and emulate the comics on the screen?’” Feige said in the digital Spider-Man: No Way Home bonus clip. “And that’s what we were able to do, finally, in the MCU movie.”
Buongiorno also talked about “the big idea of Peter going to Doctor Strange” and causing the “rift in the multiverse.”
“I think those sort of repercussions of Peter’s actions are something that just harkens back to the original comics,” Buongiorno then added. Peter Parker always had to face fallout for his actions. And his latest outing in the MCU certainly tapped into those themes.
