Stassi Schroeder Confessed That She ‘Never Wanted Bridesmaids’
Stassi Schroeder of Vanderpump Rules is currently in the midst of planning her perfect wedding. But, the stress of planning a wedding only seems to be magnified for the reality TV star. A lot of the drama centers around her choice in bridesmaids. Schroeder has been candid about the fact that a few people have taken offense to the fact that she didn’t ask them to be in her bridal party. This, of course, upset the 31-year-old, and now she’s on the fence about even inviting the aforementioned friends to her wedding.
Stassi Schroeder had a different plan for her wedding
Though Schroeder has strict rules for who she asks to be a bridesmaid, that didn’t stop her bridal party from being large. The Vanderpump Rules star’s bridal party boasts nine bridesmaids. But, if Schroeder had gotten her way originally, she would have zero. In her column Basic Bride for Glamour, she revealed that she never thought bridesmaids were essential to a positive wedding experience. In fact, she felt that they would cause more hassle than anything else. Of course, when Schroeder revealed her plans to her friends they were less than thrilled.
The Vanderpump Rules star was bullied by her friends
“When I told my friends that I didn’t want to have bridesmaids, though, they were livid. They were like, ‘Abso-fu*king-lutely not. We love you, and this means more to us than it does to you. If you don’t do bridesmaids, we’re going to kill you.’ So I’m having bridesmaids,” Schroeder wrote. The reality TV star has also jokingly said that her friends bullied her into having bridesmaids. Ultimately though, she’s glad to have them be a part of her special day. She confessed that they have already made the wedding planning process less stressful for her.
How Schroeder chose her bridal party
But, just who made the cut for Schroeder’s bridal party? The 31-year-old shared that her sister and future sister-in-law made the cut in addition to some of her long-time friends, current besties, and, of course, a few Vanderpump Rules cast members. When choosing her bridesmaids Schroeder had the stipulation that anyone she included in the bridal party needed to be close to not just her, but also her fiancé, Beau. It was important for Schroeder to ask friends who would continue being a large part of their lives as a married couple. This stipulation definitely simplified the selection process for her.
Is Kristen Doute a bridesmaid
One person who was not selected to be a part of the bridal party is Schroeder’s former best friend and fellow cast member, Kristen Doute. In fact, Doute may not even be invited to attend the destination wedding. The two had a very public falling out and while Doute has confessed that she still has love for Schroeder, the road to repairing their relationship is a long one. Despite the drama, Schroeder does hope that Doute and her will have mended things well enough for Doute to attend her wedding. Schroder shared with E! that she’s playing things by ear and seeing how the year goes before deciding if she wants Doute there for her big day. But, whether Doute makes an appearance or not, Schroeder seems like she’ll have plenty of people she loves supporting her on her wedding day.
