‘Station 19’ Season 4 Finale Episode 16 recap: Carina and Maya married

In Station 19 Season 4 Episode 14, Carina told Maya that she didn’t believe in marriage. However, after a long conversation, the OBGYN realized that she wanted to be with Maya more than she wanted to defy the constraints of a legal document. So, the Station 19 Season 4 finale recap includes details about their beautiful ceremony. Although Spampinato was missing from the Station 19 cast in “Say Her Name,” she returned for the finale.

When they woke up on their wedding day, the two women were giddy, singing wedding songs together. Maya didn’t want to invite her parents because it was too much of a hassle, and she couldn’t decide which dress to wear. Andy attempted to help her pick a dress but kept having flashbacks to a fire rescue that the station did. She finally got to the route of the problem; Maya wanted to tell her parents. She made a stop to let them know, and her mother came to the wedding.

Ben Warren (Jason George) walked Carina and Maya down the aisle while Vic sang “Love Me Tender.” Maya forgot her vows, so she said, “I love you, and I choose you.” Ben also officiated the wedding, and then the dancing broke out.

Throughout the Station 19 Season 4 finale, Andy continued having flashbacks of a house fire where the firefighters worked tirelessly to rescue eight people and a dog. Meanwhile, a neighbor came over asking if the firefighters had seen her nine-year-old. After saving the entire family from the house, the team went back in for the boy.

They found the young child hiding in a closet, badly burned and unconscious. However, the Aid Car (ambulance) already left the scene. The fire captain told Bishop that the protocol was to wait for the nearest Aid Car, which was 8 minutes away. Bishop decided to take the boy in a different emergency vehicle to save his life but knowingly defied the Captain’s orders.

In the Station 19 finale, Andy confronted Sullivan about his choices after the fire.

“What can you possibly say that will excuse what you did?” Andy asks her husband.

Then viewers got a flashback of what Sullivan did that made Andy so upset with him.

What did Sullivan do on ‘Station 19’?

When the Captain called in Andy and Sullivan to his office, he asked them why they defied the Captain’s orders. After they told their side of the story, the Captain asked to speak with Sullivan privately. The Captain suggested that Bishop was reckless and shouldn’t be taking her team to protests. Sullivan understood what he was asking and stepped in to offer to take Bishop’s place as the new head of Station 19.

“Bishop knew when she made the call; there would be consequences,” he told his wife.

Sullivan insisted that he stepped in to save the entire station rather than have the team be split up over the consequences.
