Stevie Nicks Explained Why She’ll ‘Never Look for Mr. Right’
Stevie Nicks has had romantic relationships in her life with men both in the music industry and outside of it. These days, she’s happy living a single life, but she considers herself a lifelong romantic. Nicks has said that she believes love at first sight could always be around the next corner. Still, she never specifically looks out for “Mr. Right.”

Nicks is currently single and says she has been for a while. Still, she’s open to having another great love.
“I will say, I am always a romantic and I’m never averse to the fact that it is possible that you might turn a street corner and walk into somebody that just catches your eye, because it’s happened to me a million times,” she told The Guardian.
Nicks has kept a journal since her early days in Fleetwood Mac. In it, she writes about romance, but not necessarily her romantic relationships.
“When I say the word ‘romantic,’ I don’t necessarily mean romantic as far as having a guy or somebody in your life,” she told The New Yorker. “I mean just the halcyon days or, just, remember the way that the air felt on your skin, or the way your hair felt when the wind blew through it, or the way that the trees sounded, or that kind of thing.”
She said she never tries to look for a romantic partner
Nicks believes that her career makes it difficult to have romantic relationships.
“I find it nearly impossible,” she told High Times. “Anyone that you meet is going to be in some way in the business. I don’t meet people who aren’t in the business. I don’t go anywhere to meet them. What am I going to do, sit in a bar?”
She shared the type of person who might actually fit in well with her lifestyle.
“Someone who is not jealous of what I do and who digs my lifestyle,” she told Us Magazine in 2003, per The Nicks Fix. “My life is fun, and for the right man, it would be a gas!”
Still, she said that she doesn’t actively seek out romantic relationships.
“I’m never home, and it’s hard for a man to be left behind,” she explained. “So I never look for Mr. Right, but I know he can always walk into my life. I like that.”

Though she holds out some hope for another romantic relationship, Nicks said that she is happily single.
“I’m single, I don’t have children, and I’ve never been married except for three months a long time ago. And that doesn’t matter; It wasn’t a marriage of reality,” she told The New York Times. “I live a single woman’s life and yes, I spend a lot of time by myself. I have a few very close friends, most of them I’ve known forever, and I kind of like it.”
She doesn’t think that she needs a romantic partner to feel fulfilled.
“If it were to happen to me I’d be thrilled,” she said. “But when I’m 90 years old and sitting in a gloriously beautiful beach house somewhere on this planet with five or six Chinese Crested Yorkies, surrounded by all my goddaughters who will at that point be middle-aged, I’ll be just as happy.”
