When we look at celebrities and their families, it is easy to see that they live lives of luxury. With net worths that the rest of us can only dream about, our favorite celebs are known to have amazing homes, take lavish trips, and wear designer clothes and jewelry that come with huge price tags.

In addition to that, their children usually get to enjoy the luxurious lifestyle as well, and some of them know that they will someday be inheriting millions of dollars.

However, this isn’t the case for everyone, as some celebrities are adamant about not passing on their fortunes to their kids. As it turns out, Sting will not be leaving his children trust funds.

What is Sting’s net worth?

Having been in the business for so long and accomplished so much, many fans may be wondering just how rich Sting actually is. CelebrityNetWorth reports that the musician is worth an astonishing $400 million dollars, an unfathomable about of money for just about anyone!

When it is taken into consideration just how much he has done, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that Sting has a bank account of almost a billion dollars. In addition to music, he has also dabbled in acting, having appeared in several films, such as Quadrophenia and Dune, which have no doubt contributed to his impressive net worth.

Sting won’t be leaving his children trust funds

$400 million dollars can last for quite a few generations. Even so, it looks like Sting’s six children will have to find a way to make money on their own, as they won’t be inheriting any of his massive fortune. According to US Weekly, the singer has said that:

“I certainly don’t want to leave them trust funds that are albatrosses round their necks … They have to work. All my kids know that, and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate.”

While it might seem that leaving money to his children would be something that Sting would naturally do, it’s great that he wants them to go out and work for themselves, therefore earning their own money and learning how to support themselves.

How did Sting rise to the top?

As an English musician and actor, Sting has been successful for decades. So, how did he make his mark in the music industry? Well, according to WealthyGorilla, Sting was a member of the wave rock band the Police for 7 years. He then went on to launch a solo career, selling over 100 million records worldwide.

The musician, whose real name is actually Gordon Matthew Sumner, has been known as an icon for years, so it is really no surprise that he is the recipient of 17 Grammy Awards, several Brit Awards, and even a CBE from Queen Elizabeth for his services to music. Amazing!
