While some Stranger Things fans might feel like the world is at a standstill while we wait for Stranger Things Season 4, the cast certainly doesn’t. Most cast members have been working on other projects throughout filming for season 4, but one star in particular recently had some hard work pay off. Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in Stranger Things, recently got accepted into college. Now fans are curious if this will affect his future on the Netflix hit series.

Where is ‘Stranger Things’ star Noah Schnapp going to college?

Schnapp’s portrayal of Will Byers has impressed audiences over the past three seasons. His ability to act out some of the intense scenes his character goes through truly makes him a standout in the field. However, acting doesn’t seem to be the only thing on the 17-year-old’s mind.

Schnapp’s TikTok account has garnered millions of followers over the years. Now, a video of him and his family discovering his acceptance into college might be his sweetest yet. The TikTok itself has been deleted for unknown reasons, but Netflix shared the video from their official Twitter account so fans can still watch.

Schnapp, his twin sister Chloe, and his parents hover around a computer scene, and Schnapp looks nervous as he reads from the screen. However, it was pure joy all around when he realized he’d been accepted into the University of Pennsylvania. He and his family jump up and down in excitement at the good news.

Fans wonder if his college career will affect his future on ‘Stranger Things’

Stranger Things Season 4 completed filming in September of 2021. That means Schnapp’s college career goals won’t interfere with the upcoming season, but what about future seasons? Creators of the show Ross and Matt Duffer have said that they see Stranger Things running for five seasons total. With Schnapp presumably starting at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2022, his schedule might not work with filming a fifth season.

As of right now, there’s no word on whether or not the series will be renewed for a fifth season. Although, with the popularity surrounding Stranger Things, that seems highly unlikely. However, if there’s one silver lining to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it’s the ability schools now have to operate remotely. An acting career like Noah’s could presumably work around his schedule using remote learning.

Fans on Reddit seemed to agree. One Redditor wrote, “If Megan Thee Stallion can graduate from college with a science degree while balancing a career as a female rapper I don’t see why it would impossible for Noah.”

Another user wrote, “Well since we’re most likely only getting one more season after this, he should be fine. Freshmen year and even sophomore year are pretty low-key in terms of workload, of course, it depends on the major and the person, but still, I think he should be fine. Covid changed the game big time in terms of what they’re capable of doing to accommodate people’s schedules in order to film. So they’ll probably, at worst, have him film during a short period of time, but almost nonstop, as opposed to being flexible for months at a time.”
