Stranger Things includes a wide variety of characters, with new characters popping up every season. In Stranger Things Season 4, audiences meet a bevy of new kids as well as plenty of adults to shake things up. However, it’s rare fans stray away from the tried and true regulars as their fan favorites. (Except for Robin Buckley. Everyone loved her immediately and with good reason.) On Reddit, a fan recently posted a Stranger Things Alignment Chart. Here’s where some of your favorite characters land.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Will Byers snags the Lawful Good spot

Poor Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). The kid gets captured by a monster and held hostage in a parallel dimension for the majority of Stranger Things Season 1. In season 2 the Mind Flayer possesses him. By the time audiences make it to Stranger Things Season 3, he only wants a simple game of Dungeons and Dragons with his best friends. Unfortunately, they’re caught up with their own issues.

However, the way Will steps up as the voice of reason in Stranger Things Season 3 plops him directly in Lawful Good territory. He’s determined to fight relentlessly against the creatures from the Upside Down to save his friends. The definition of Lawful Good fits Will to a tee.

True Neutral belongs solely to Ted Wheeler

According to the Dungeons and Dragons Alignment Chart wiki, true neutral remains “neutral on both axes and tends not to feel strongly toward any alignment, or actively seeks their balance.” Have you heard a better definition of Ted Wheeler?

From his obliviousness about his kids’ whereabouts in Stranger Things Season 1 to his apparent fear of something as tame as the Ferris Wheel in Stranger Things Season 3, Ted Wheeler is emphatically boring.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Terminator-esque Grigori lands the Chaotic Evil spot

Everything about Grigori in Stranger Things Season 3 seems chaotic … well, and evil. It makes sense he fits the definition of Chaotic Evil. People who qualify as Chaotic Evil throw the rules, and caution, to the wind and do whatever they want. They also work better alone than with a group of people. Thankfully, Hopper put Grigori in his place in the Stranger Things Season 3 finale.

Chief Jim Hopper is obviously Chaotic Good

If Grigori is Chaotic Evil, Chief Hopper is Chaotic Good. While Hop loves keeping order in the small town of Hawkins, he has no problems breaking the rules when it’s convenient for him. A perfect example of his alignment is summed up in Stranger Things Season 3 when the waiter at Enzo’s tells him he can’t take the bottle of wine with him. He replies, “I’m the chief of police. I can do whatever I want.”

‘Stranger Things’ Season 1 Dr. Brenner nabs the Lawful Evil spot

Each season of Stranger Things brought fans both a human antagonist and a supernatural antagonist. While Executioner Connie Frazier was in the running for scariest human in season 1, the award went to Dr. Brenner for almost every viewer.

Played by Matthew Modine, Dr. Brenner’s chilly demeanor and emotionless eyes showed the audience this man would do anything to get the results he wanted. Wikipedia describes Lawful Evil characters as people “who see a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit than to necessarily follow.” Unsurprisingly, this sounds exactly like Dr. Brenner.

Until Stranger Things Season 4 arrives on Netflix, fans can rewatch the first three seasons, which are currently streaming.
