‘Stranger Things’: Millie Bobby Brown Wants Eleven and Mike to Get Married
Eleven and Mike are the cutest couple on Stranger Things. And in a recent interview, series star Millie Bobby Brown revealed that she’d like to see the love-birds get married someday.
Mike and Eleven first kissed in the ‘Stranger Things’ Season 1 finale
In the first season of Stranger Things, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) officially turn their friendship into a romance. After successfully saving their friend Will (Noah Schnapp) and defeating the Demogorgon, the two end up sharing a sweet kiss at their school dance.
The kiss wasn’t only a big moment for the characters, but it was also a big milestone for Brown. In an interview with Variety, she revealed that it was her first kiss ever.
“It was a strange experience,” she said. “Having 250 people looking at you kissing someone is like, ‘Whoa!'”
Their relationship started getting serious in season 3
By Season 3 of Stranger Things, Mike and Eleven are freshmen in high school and are spending all their time together. After a few relationship hiccups, the two manage to work through their issues and end up even stronger.
“It’s so much fun, you know, it’s really exciting,” Brown Digital Spy about Mike and Eleven’s season 3 romance. “Eleven is full of love and she’s so excited for her new relationship with Mike. I think it’s just relatable and you can totally see it happening in real life.”
Millie Bobby Brown wants to see Eleven get married
In a recent interview with Glamour UK, Brown talked about what she hopes to see for Eleven in season 4. “Oh my god, she’s been through so much, I just hope she’s happy,” she said.
The actor revealed she wants Eleven to regain her abilities at some point. And she also admitted she’d like to see the show take Eleven and Mike’s love story a step further.
“I’d love for her to get her powers back because she is a hero, she is like a super woman in a way,” Brown suggested. “And she loves Mike – I want them to get married. That’s what I need. I need a wedding scene for Stranger Things, period.”
Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ is on the way
Netflix renewed Stranger Things for season 4 in 2019. But due to the COVID-19 shutdown, filming for the new season was temporarily paused. When talking to NME, series star Joe Keery suggested that the cast and crew are eager to get back to work soon.
“I have no idea what’s going on with Stranger Things, to be honest with you,” Keery told the outlet. “I think everybody wants to get back to work, everybody wants to keep shooting — The creators are obviously really eager to get back to work. But at the forefront of everybody’s mind is you’ve got to keep everyone safe.”
