Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was once on top of the world. He was rich, he was famous, and everybody wanted to hang out with him. But these days, Diddy’s net worth has plummeted, he’s famous in the worst way, and nobody wants to be seen with him. But he’s in jail, so people can’t hang out with him anyway.

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, and ever since, more and more people have been coming forward to tell stories of abuse. One of Diddy’s rivals, Suge Knight, doesn’t condone Diddy’s actions but does say that Diddy didn’t learn those behaviors on his own.

Suge Knight says Diddy’s abuse was ‘taught’

Diddy was just a young man when he was up-and-coming in the hip-hop and R&B industries throughout the 1990s. But by the early 2000s, he was a full-fledged mogul who was at the top of his industry. He threw white parties that everyone wanted to attend (and now everyone seemingly regrets attending), and he allegedly got away with everything. But after his ex, Cassie Ventura, sued him for abuse throughout their relationship, Diddy’s alleged secrets began to unravel. He’s now been accused of abuse by many women.

Suge Knight, who is the former CEO of Death Row Records, has spoken about Diddy numerous times since the accusations came to light. Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, and he’s one of a handful of people who have spoken out.

Speaking about Diddy’s alleged abuse, Knight says he knows where the behavior came from, telling News Nation that Diddy “was taught [to abuse] from people before him, and he did it to the younger people after him.”

“This [has] been going on in the industry for a whole bunch of years, for decades and at the same time — you know, nobody wanted [it] to be true, and it shouldn’t have to be true,” Knight said.

Knight has warned Diddy to be careful because of how much Diddy knows. Rumor has it there are countless celebrities who might have also been involved in Diddy’s antics through the years, and Knight claims that the hip-hop star’s life could be “in danger” due to how much he knows about so many high-profile people.

“You know they’re gonna get you if they can,” Knight said of Diddy’s fate during a recent episode of his podcast. Diddy’s trial is set to begin in May 2025, and he is currently in jail while he waits.
