‘Summer House’: Bravo Reveals How the Explosive Fight Starts With Luke Gulbranson
The explosive fight on Summer House starts when the cast confronts Luke Gulbranson for leading girls on in order to “feel powerful,” according to Kyle Cooke.
An argument begins when Carl Radke calls Gulbranson a “jackass” for teasing some of the women in the house, namely Ciara Miller. “Did you hook up with Ciara?” Radke questions Gulbranson in an upcoming episode preview. When Gulbranson affirms they hooked up a few years ago, Radke points out Miller is over him because he’s been playing games. While the dispute begins with a tense discussion it erupts into a full-blown house brawl.
Kyle Cooke heats up the argument with Luke Gulbranson
Radke and Gulbranson go back and forth until Radke retreats, clearly annoyed that his point is not getting through to his friend. Miller and Cooke are both present with Miller telling Gulbranson that you don’t text a woman after 9:00 p.m. unless you are essentially looking for a booty call.
Cooke agrees with Miller and then he gets into it with Gulbranson. “You don’t text a chick after 9:00 unless you are trying to f**k her,” he says. “Luke, I’m trying to help you with this.” Miller and Gulbranson are getting into such a heated exchange, Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, and Hannah Berner walk into the room. Lindsay Hubbard asks Danielle Olivera if she should just start blasting music downstairs to drown out the arguing.
“Dude, you seem like Mr. Paul Bunyan himself,” a very sunburned Cooke tells Gulbranson. “Why are you spending so much time texting girls late at night that are just friends? What are you trying to do? I’ll tell you what I’ve seen. I’ve seen you lead girls on.” Gulbranson says nothing and just takes a sip of his drink.
“Admit it!” Cooke says getting heated. “You f**king need that to feel powerful.” Gulbranson says that’s not true, but Cooke comes at him. “Yes you do dude!” he exclaims. “I love you but I do not love your quest for f**king power over females. And that’s what my f**king beef with you is.”
Luke Gulbranson blows his lid
Gulbranson calmly walks away and heads to the front door but Cooke is still screaming at him. “I know you because I f**king did that myself!” Cooke yells at Gulbranson as he walks away.
Cooke pursues Gulbranson while Batula tries to restrain her boyfriend by holding onto the back of his shorts. “Why don’t you just f**king be real for f**king once in your life?” Cooke yells. “Just admit that you love controlling females. Admit it! Admit it, bro!”
Gulbranson calmly leaves the house. But he stews outside and begins to get angry. That’s when producers know they need to get involved. “F**k off, man,” Gulbranson says in a confessional. “You wanna act tough and accuse me of sh*t. Who’s Kyle to come at me with this controlling and manipulating women sh*t. Dude, look in the f**king mirror.”
“Let’s go inside, let’s go,” Gulbranson is seen telling producers on the front lawn of the home. “Because I’m gonna tell Kyle what I think of him.” Gulbranson keeps insisting to producers they return to the house. But the crew tries to keep him outside – unsuccessfully. He explodes on producers and storms toward the front door.
Summer House is on Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
