Summer Walker Reveals Details About Her First Date With Boyfriend London on da Track

Last year, Summer Walker became the name on everyone’s lips. Her debut album Over It made her R&B’s new it girl, thanks in part to the musical stylings of hip hop producer London on da Track. Walker and London have been dating since then, and have had a rocky road to where they are now.

Summer Walker first caught the attention of Drake

Summer Walker first burst on to the scene with the help of Grammy-winning rapper Drake. Drake has always kept his eye out for new, talented artists, and sometimes recruits them for his OVO Music label. PartyNextDoor, ILoveMakonnen, and more. He’s also been known to hop on remixes of popular artists’ songs and helping boost their profile, such as ILoveMakonnen and Fetty Wap.

Summer Walker first caught Drake’s eye with her 2018 song “Girls Need Love.” He reached out and jumped on the remix for the song, which ended up blowing up more than the original. It was only up from there: she got to work on her first album Over It with some of the best in the business, including well-known producer London on da Track.

London on da Track has produced for all kinds of singers

London on da Track has worked with some of the biggest names in hip hop and R&B throughout the last decade. He’s a frequent collaborator of fellow Atlanta artist Young Thug, and has produced for many rappers including Lil Wayne, DaBaby, French Montana, Future, Gucci Mane, and 50 Cent.

London on da Track has also worked with R&B artists such as Keyshia Cole and Jeremih, so his work on Over It was hardly his first time at the rodeo. It was, however, his first time serving as executive producer on an R&B project.

Summer Walker had an unforgettable first date with London on da Track

In an Instagram post on her personal account, Summer Walker told her followers what her first date with London on da Track was like, and how he swept her off her feet from the beginning.

“Our first date was soo much fun. We went bowling, ate, shopping, and then hit the strip club,” Walker reminisced. “I never seen someone throw so much money in my life.”

She goes on to describe how messy she got and how she thought she had ruined their date. “I fell in the club from being so drunk so we left, and other celebrities were there so my ratchet a** was probably embarrassing him,” she remembers. “Then we went to his house and I was being a thot and then I think I couldn’t hold my liquor… lol but it was lit. And here we are a year later.”

Summer Walker and London on da Track have had relationship problems

Like any couple, Summer Walker and London on da Track have had their fair share of bumps along the way. The two reportedly broke up earlier this year after video surfaced of London “jokingly” choking her while she kept asking him to stop. Walker later clarified that it was all in good fun: “London was playing y’all buggin, he would never try to really hurt me.”
