SuperM Release Playful ‘We DO’ Music Video
SuperM are known as the “Avengers of K-pop.” The K-pop group debuted with SM Entertainment and Capitol Records in 2019 and has seven members: Baekhyun, Taemin, Kai, Ten, Taeyong, Lucas, and Mark.
While the group is known for releasing futuristic and hard-hitting songs like “Jopping” and “One (Monster & Infinity),” SuperM tried a new concept with the single “We DO.”
SuperM released a new music video
On April 9, SuperM released a music video for “We DO.” The song features paid promotion and was released as part of Prudential’s “We Do Well Together” campaign.
According to MTV, the members of SuperM published a statement about the meaning of the song:
“As the world experiences challenging times due to the pandemic, it is our ambition to spread positive energy and help as many people as possible to achieve not just good physical health, but mental wellbeing as well.”
The English-language track is upbeat with retro vibes, and it is impossible to not dance along to the catchy “That’s how we do” from the song’s chorus. With bold colors surrounding them, the SuperM members flash bright smiles as they perform the song’s carefree choreography.
What SuperM fans think of the music video
Baekhyun, Taemin, Kai, Ten, Taeyong, Lucas, and Mark have released joyful songs as SuperM before. In 2020, they performed their song “With You” as part of the One World: Together At Home concert to give viewers hope amidst the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
After SuperM released the music video for “We DO,” fans shared their thoughts about the song on social media. According to fans, it is almost frustrating that the song is so good.
One fan wrote on Reddit, “i literally searched prudential after the mv, good job superm.”
“This song for an insurance company has no right to be this good lol it’s so funky, i love it. Definitely got me dancing. They should release more of this type of music,” another fan wrote on Reddit.
A Reddit user wrote, “a song for an insurance company didn’t have to slap this hard.”
“This was so adorable I can’t stop smiling!! They all look and sound amazing! Their smiles in the MV you can just tell they’re having so much fun with it,” wrote a fan on Reddit.
The band released a full-length album in 2020
The K-pop group debuted in October 2019 with their eponymous EP. SuperM are known as a K-pop supergroup because Baekhyun, Taemin, Kai, Ten, Taeyong, Lucas, and Mark are all members of other popular groups under SM Entertainment.
By being active in multiple groups but coming together as SuperM, the band earned the title of the “Avengers of K-pop.” After releasing their debut EP, the group completed a successful world tour.
In 2020, the members released their first studio album, Super One. “We DO” marks SuperM’s first musical release since Super One came out on Sept. 25, 2020.
