Katie Holmes will be dealing with an empty nest in just a couple of months. Suri Cruise has committed to attend a college that will take her out of New York City and drop her directly in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Did you know that Suri Cruise is a graduating senior? The daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is preparing to graduate from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts later this month. She has her college plans all figured out, too. A TikTok video uploaded by a classmate revealed exactly where Suri Cruise plans to attend college in the fall.
Suri doesn’t upload public TikToks, but she was spotted in a classmate’s TikTok video. Last week, a student at LaGuardia High School shared a video of the school’s “commitment day” celebration. In the video, the teen checks in with friends and classmates to see where they will attend school in the fall. Suri Cruise was spotted in the video wearing a Carnegie Mellon sweatshirt. She smiled for the camera while showing off her university choice. The student who uploaded the video has since set their account to private.
Carnegie Mellon is a top-tier research university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1900 by Andrew Carnegie, Carnegie Mellon offers students a metropolitan campus and plenty to see and learn. The institution has several incredibly competitive programs.
What will Suri Cruise study in college?
While Suri has spent a fair bit of her time at LaGuardia High School appearing in school plays, Just Jared claims the 18-year-old might not be considering a career in Hollywood. The publication alleges the teen is interested in fashion and may be heading to Carnegie Mellon’s prestigious design school.
Suri did not reveal what she plans on studying during her brief TikTok appearance. The famous teen could study any number of subjects at the Tier 1 school. Carnegie Mellon is known for its research capabilities and world-renowned STEM program. The school also has a well-respected drama department and a competitive design program. Whatever she chooses to study, Suri will surely enjoy her time at the school, even if it takes her far from her New York City base.
