‘Survivor 40: Winners at War Episode 10′: How is Tony Vlachos’ gameplay going?
Tony toned down his gameplay this season. The 45-year-old police officer from Allendale, New Jersey, knew going into this game that he could not search for hidden immunity idols or make it seem like he was playing with a lot of strategies this time around.
So far, he displayed hysterical antics during several episodes, but remained under the radar. He built an unsteady ladder to fetch coconuts and helped Sandra Diaz-Twine to slay a shark. He brought back his Spy Shack once, but luckily Kim Spradlin-Wolfe and Sandra knew to expect these antics from Tony. They weren’t suspicious of him. He also votes with his tribemates weekly and isn’t making any game-changing moves, yet.
During episode 10, he attempted to persuade Sarah Lacina to vote for Tyson Apostol. However, when she didn’t want to back down, he sided with her. He felt very safe at tribal council with his first immunity necklace. In a crazy turn of events, Tyson was sent to the Edge of Extinction like Tony wanted.
What do the previews show is in store for Tony on episode 11 of ‘Survivor: Winners at War’?
The promo for Winners at War episode 11 shows that Tony is trying to make a massive move in the game. His “Cops-R-Us” alliance seems stable because we see Sarah telling everyone to do what Tony says.
“If I can pull this off, I’m going to be golden,” Tony says during the preview.
He also tells Jeremy that people are planning to blindside him. We see Kim complaining about Tony trying to be a “double agent.”
However, fans are not falling for the edit. They think that the producers want fans to believe that Tony is on the chopping block.
Why do fans feel that Tony Vlachos will win the $2 million prize on ‘Survivor: Winners at War’?
“I guess next week will be the Tony doubt episode,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “People turn on him. He looks sketchy, making us question him, only to turn back around by the end of the episode and he controls the Sophie, Jeremy, or Kim boot.”
Many fans believe that Tony finds an idol next week or is sent an advantage from the Edge of Extinction. He is carrying around his bag in the preview for some reason, and fans did not miss it.
“Sophie drawing the lines at tribal and taking the five to the side to talk is what her edit is leading up to,” added another fan. “She’s going to get blindsided next, and the producers are using Tony in the preview as a decoy.”
Other fans note that Sophie has a hidden immunity idol, but might go home without playing it. Find out if fans are correct when Survivor: Winners at War airs next Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
