Waititi was born and raised in New Zealand and always had a love for the entertainment industry. When he was still in college, he joined a New Zealand comedy group called So You’re a Man.
The group was moderately successful and would tour around to different comedy clubs in the country. He later joined a two-man comedy group called the Humourbeasts. With this group, he gained a lot more success and even won the Billy T. Award, which is a prestigious comedy award in New Zealand.
In the early 2000s, he found a love for movies and started making short films. He earned an Academy Award nomination for his first short film entitled Two Cars, One Night. He then went on to write, direct, and even star in a few full-length films.
The first film that he created and starred in was entitled Eagle vs Shark, and was an instant hit among romantic comedy fans.
In 2019, Waititi wrote and directed the movie Jojo Rabbit, which is based on the novel Caging Skies by Christine Leunens. The movie is about a child that is growing up in Nazi Germany during the 1940s.
Waititi played the role of Adolf Hitler in the movie and later won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

In addition to the many impressive films that Waititi has been a part of, he has also worked with Marvel. He directed the movie, Thor: Ragnarok, and is set to write and direct the sequel entitled Thor: Love and Thunder. He also played character Korg in the movie Thor: Ragnarok.
Waititi apparently has a great love for the character Thor. He wrote, produced, and directed a series of comedic short films entitled Team Thor. The films depict the life of Thor after his work with the Avengers is done.
In the short films, Thor lives with a roommate named Darrell and tried his best to live a “normal” human life. All of the Team Thor films got great reviews from all over the world and helped many Marvel fans to see just how talented Waititi truly is.

There is no doubt that Waititi has had an impressive career over the years. He has played a vital role in the production of some of the most impressive movies and TV shows that this country has ever seen.
There was a recent Reddit discussion where fans were talking about how talented the MCU directors are. And almost every fan agreed that Waititi made an excellent addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One fan wrote: “I think at this point I’ll watch anything directed by Taika Waititi. All of his stuff is fantastic.”
Another fan agreed and said: “It’s ridiculous. No single human should be as talented as he is.”
