Tammy and Amy Slaton Face Off In Teaser for New Season of ‘1000-lb Sisters’
The Slaton sisters are back! Tammy and Amy Slaton are returning to TLC for a new season of 1000-lb Sisters in October 2024.
There’s plenty to look forward to in the latest season of the family’s reality series, according to a just-released teaser (via YouTube). Tammy continues to embrace life after her weight-loss surgery, Amy lets loose as a single mom, and the entire family embarks on a trip to the U.K. But there’s also some serious tension in the tight-knit Slaton clan, as Tammy and Amy face off during a limo ride and Amanda calls out Tammy for having a bad attitude.
Tammy turns on Amy in ‘1000-lb Sisters’ teaser trailer
On the last season of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy was struggling in a major way. Not only was she dealing with parenting two young kids, but she was also navigating the demise of her marriage to Michael Halterman. During a family trip to Florida, her emotions boiled over, leading to an intense argument with her sister Amanda Halterman.
Amy seems to be in a better place this season, at least based on the trailer. At one point, she asks Tammy what she thinks about her “single mom, bad*ass look.”
“It’s just bad,” Tammy replies. But Amy doesn’t take Tammy’s criticism to heart.
“At least I don’t look like a cottagecore ho,” she says with a laugh.
But it’s not all smooth sailing for the Slaton siblings. During a limo ride, Tammy lashes out at Amy.
“All y’all f*cking do is run your goddamn mouth,” she says to her sister, who looks baffled.
“You are not my goddamn boss,” an outraged Amy replies. “I’m not being talked to like this,” she adds as she moves to get out of the car.
Amanda calls out Tammy for her ‘attitude’
Keeping up with the latest drama in the Slaton family is a challenge, Tammy and Amy’s brother, Chris Combs, admits.
“I can’t keep up with who’s fighting with who,” he says.
In addition to clashing with Amy, Tammy also gets into it with her sister Amanda.
“I’m getting real sick and tired of your attitude,” Amanda tells Tammy before ordering her to get out of her house.
“I have put up with this for 30-some years,” Amanda explains in an interview. “Because, ‘Poor Tammy, she’s fat, she can’t do sh*t.’ Now that she’s lost the weight, I’m not excusing that behavior anymore.”
But Tammy thinks Amanda is putting her foot down for another reason.
“Now that I’ve lost so much weight, I feel like she’s kind of jealous,” Tammy says. “She’s not the pretty sister no more.”
1000-lb Sisters premieres Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
