The world learned Tara Lipinski’s name in 1998 when she won a gold medal in women’s figure skating at the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. At the time, Lipinski was only 15 years old and became the youngest person to win Olympic gold in her sport. She was also the first woman to complete a triple loop-triple loop combination, which was her signature jump. Lipinski retired from skating in 2002 and today works as a commentator for NBC. Now, with the Olympics underway, many fans are wondering who she’s married to.

Just before the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics kicked off, Lipinski was a guest on Access Daily and spoke to hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover about the docu-series “Meddling” which she co-produced with her husband. The program covers the Olympic skating scandal that took place in 2002 when Canadian figure skating pair Jamie Salé and David Pelletier lost the gold to Russian pair Anton Sikharulidze and Elena Berezhnaya.

Lipinski also revealed that she still skates today saying: “I do it enough to keep up. I’m definitely not on the ice every day … [but] I don’t usually go longer than a month or two to make sure that I still got it.” She admitted that Kapostasy “gets emotional” rewatching her performance for the gold at the 1998 Winter Games and that gives her chills. She added: “I’m lucky to have him.”
