We Found Tarek and Christina’s Finished Flips From ‘The Flip Off’ — See How Much They Sold For
Who’s the top flipper of all time? In their new HGTV show The Flip Off, exes Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa go head-to-head in a competition to see who can create the better flip.
Christina will put her renovation and design skills to the test as she fights to beat Tarek and his new wife Heather Rae El Moussa at their own game. Each team has purchased a home in Southern California to flip. The person who gets the biggest ROI on their investment will win bragging rights, plus a vacation on the loser’s dime. We’ll find out the winner in the series finale, but in the meantime, we did a little digging to get more info on the houses featured on the show and what they sold for after the renovations.

Christina faces off against Tarek and Heather in ‘The Flip Off’
In the Jan. 29 series premiere, Tarek and Christina each searched for the perfect flip. Each acknowledged that the real estate market has changed significantly since the early years of Flip or Flop. Prices are high and inventory is limited. That makes finding a house that can be flipped for a significant profit more challenging, especially since the rules of The Flip Off challenge gave them just a week to close the deal.
Tarek and Heather settled on a three-bedroom, two-bath home in Long Beach for $710,000. The house had a lot of potential, including plenty of space for a family and a backyard pool area that could be perfect for entertaining. But its location directly under a flight path could be a turnoff to buyers.
Christina initially thought she’d struck gold with a three-bedroom house in Westminster for $590,000. But when that deal fell through, she had to scramble to find something to buy before the deadline. She ended up with a four-bedroom, two-bath home in Carson. The $605,000 selling price was attractive. But the house, which had recently been occupied by squatters, needed a lot of work.
Christina’s ‘Flip Off’ house recently sold for $1.125 million
In the first episode of The Flip Off, both teams embarked on a renovation of their home’s kitchens and dining areas. Tarek and Heather gave this key area of their home a luxe (and pricey) makeover with massive eye-catching cabinets for displaying wine, a large island with a built-in banquette, and a separate prep area. Christina added stylish new appliances and plenty of cabinet and counter space, along with designer touches like a striking backsplash.
Zillow listings for each home offer a peek at what to expect in future episodes. Christina’s completely transformed flip includes a sliding door in the kitchen/family room that opens onto a generously sized backyard with an in-ground pool. A master bathroom features checkerboard tile and gold fixtures, and one bedroom has a built-in vanity.
Tarek and Heather’s house has a formal dining room and family room with large floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the backyard. There’s also a spa-like master bath with a double vanity. The master bedroom has a built-in wardrobe and a slider that opens to the backyard.
So, whose flip came out on top? It’s hard to say. Christina’s house was listed for sale in December 2024 at just under $1 million and sold in early January 2025 for $1.125 million. Tarek and Heather’s house was also listed in December. As of mid-January 2025, it was pending sale at $1.499 million.
Tarek and Heather seem to have gotten a higher price for their flip, despite its smaller size. But that doesn’t mean they won The Flip Off. In episode 1, Christina made it clear she was keeping a close eye on the budget. She also paid less for her flip. Meanwhile, Heather and Tarek struggled to balance her high-end style with his desire to keep costs in check. Redoing the kitchen alone cost $100,000. If they spent too much overall, they may have lost to Christina, even though their house is worth more.
The Flip Off airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
