Source says Tarek El Moussa didn’t think Christina’s new relationship would last
Tarek hasn’t commented publicly on his ex’s separation. But a source told Us Weekly that he isn’t shocked things didn’t work out for the couple.
“Tarek is sad that Christina is going through a hard time,” the insider said. “But [he] did not think that Christina and Ant would last.”
But a source close to the Ansteads told the magazine that their friends were surprised by the split and that they “seemed happy together.”
Ant Anstead took a break from social media
Neither Christina nor Ant has commented on the reason for their breakup. In early August, he announced he was taking a break from socia media.
“The world is crazy right now,” he wrote in the Aug. 2 Instagram post. “And for all the good things social media has it also carries a toxic element! I have blocked over 100 people in the last few days. Humans are lashing out. And it saddens me! So I am going to take a little break!”
A few weeks later, he resurfaced with a post celebrating his two children from a previous relationship, who live in the U.K. He revealed that he’d traveled from Los Angeles to see them, even though it meant spending two weeks in quarantine once he arrived.
After noting he’d spent 1,209,600 seconds in quarantine, he declared: “Moments like this – PRICELESS (worth every single one of those seconds).”
