Over the past few weeks, Alwyn has been busy promoting Conversations with Friends, an upcoming series on Hulu. The series is based on a novel of the same name by Sally Rooney. In Conversations with Friends, Alwyn plays one of the main characters, Nick Conway.

During a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Alwyn discussed what he has been reading and watching lately to pass the time. In doing so, the actor revealed he is a fan of the Beatles and the new Disney+ documentary The Beatles: Get Back.

“I just watched the Beatles documentary Get Back,” he said in the interview. “If you’re one of the seven people in the world who don’t like the Beatles, then it’s not the thing for you. But I’m not one of the seven people, so I loved it.”

Why Joe Alwyn does not discuss his relationship with Taylor Swift

Alwyn and Swift have been dating since 2016. While they have been together for quite some time, the two are known for being private about their relationship.

Swift will share details about her relationship with Alwyn in her songwriting, but the two celebrities rarely speak about one another in interviews.

In the interview with The Wall Street Journal, Alwyn shared why he is so private about his personal life.

“We live in a culture that people expect so much to be given. So that if you’re not posting all the time about what you’re doing, how you’re spending a day or how you made a breakfast, does that make you a recluse?” Alwyn told The Wall Street Journal.

He continued, “I’d also like to feel slightly less guarded sometimes in interviews or in whatever kind of interactions, but it’s just a knee-jerk response to the culture we live in. If you give it to them, it just opens the door.”
