“Travis, is that you?” That’s the question many Swifties are asking themselves. It comes after Taylor Swift thanked her Kansas City Chiefs tight end “boyfriend, Travis” Kelce, in her 2024 VMAs Video of the Year acceptance speech for her song, “Fortnight.” Ahead, the moment some Swifties think it’s possible to hear Kelce in between takes on set while filming the “Fortnight” music video.

Taylor Swift remembers Kelce constantly ‘cheering’ on the ‘Fortnight’ music video set

In between making history at the 2024 MTV VMAs on Sept. 11, 2024, Swift thanked Kelce. Taking the stage after winning the award for Video of the Year for “Fortnight,” her song featuring Post Malone off her April 2024 album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift shared how Kelce made filming an unforgettable experience.

“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was, like, the most fun video to make,” Swift told the audience.

“And something that I’ll always remember,” she continued, “is that when I would finish a take, and I’d say, “Cut,” and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear like someone, like, cheering and, like, [going] “Whoo!” from across the studio where we were shooting it.”

“And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis,” Swift continued. “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic. So I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot, because I’ll always remember that.”

Laughter in a clip during the making of Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ music video could belong to Kelce

Since Swift’s comment about Kelce “cheering” for her and the crew while filming the “Fortnight” music video, many Swifties have been busy combing through behind-the-scenes footage for proof of his appearance on set.

According to Daily Mail, they might’ve succeeded. In one behind-the-scenes clip, Swift, clad in a white gown, is seen throwing a cart at a wall. When it bounces off the wall and startles the Grammy winner, laughter can be heard from those off-camera.

“IS THAT TRAVIS’ LAUGH???” a fan wondered on X, formerly Twitter. “It kinda sounds like him, and I don’t want to sound delusional, but it really does,” another said. One fan posted the “Fortnight” clip side-by-side with one from Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast to compare the similar-sounding laughter.

Swift nor Kelce have addressed the speculation that it could be the Super Bowl winner giggling in the behind-the-scenes clip. So, for now, the source of said laughter remains a mystery.

Kelce has been there for Swift through much of her wildly successful Eras tour. (Swift was roughly five months in when the two met and started dating in the summer of 2023.) He’s attended 14 Eras concerts, and that number could go up when the Grammy winner embarks on the final leg of her tour come October 2024.

Not only has Kelce taken selfies with British royals backstage and been spotted in the crowd singing and dancing but he’s also joined Swift onstage. At a June 2024 Eras concert in London, England, the Super Bowl winner took the stage, alongside two backup dancers and Swift, wearing a suit and top hat.

His job? Carry Swift’s limp body to a couch during a theatrical outfit change for “The Tortured Poet’s Department” era. The 34-year-old discussed the experience on his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.

Noting he’d initially wanted to ride a bike in the “1989” segment of her concert, he shared that there were ultimately no wheels for him because “it was the safest option,” (via Insider). “The one thing I told myself is, ‘Do not drop the baby. Do not drop Taylor on your way over to this d*** couch,’” he said. “Get her to the couch safely.”

Kelce also had advice from his former coach, Eric Bieniemy, going through his mind. “Coach Bieniemy always used to say, ‘That ball has our dreams, goals, and aspirations,’” he recalled. “‘You do not drop that ball.’” Calling the experience an “absolute blast,” Kelce also revealed he “didn’t disappoint Taylor” with his performance.
