Taylor Swift is breaking the mold with her romance with Travis Kelce. The pop sensation has historically remained tight-lipped regarding her relationships, only revealing intimate details in her music. However, a source alleged that she’s ready to let loose after years of “micromanaging” her “image.”

Taylor Swift has a carefully curated image, but she seems to be changing now that she and Travis Kelce have a serious relationship. Kelce and Swift hit the one-year dating mark in the summer of 2024. While Swift and her famous ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, kept their romance out of the public eye, Swift and Kelce aren’t afraid to let the world see how in love they are.

A source told Life & Style that Swift is “making a conscious effort” to “go with the flow” and act more relaxed in her life and relationship. “When they first got together, she was a lot more focused on the timing of everything, when they’d have their first public date, their first public kiss, what their PR messaging would be,” the insider alleged. “That’s her style; she micromanages her image and always has.”

Now, Swift allegedly wants to “take the shackles off” and allow outsiders to judge her relationship if they want to. Swifties can see this change in what she’s choosing to wear when she watches the Kansas City Chiefs.

“In the past, she felt like she had to dress like the perfect NFL girlfriend, and to her that meant head-to-toe team gear,” the insider continued. “This time, she wore what she felt sexy in, she didn’t wear fan merch or team colors.”

The source added that Swift and Kelce “used to hide out at home” to avoid public scrutiny. However, “she’s determined to stop overthinking things.”

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had a notoriously secretive romance. While Swift kept many aspects of her life private, Alwyn wanted more privacy. A source told Life & Style that Travis Kelce “didn’t understand” why the couple kept their romance so tightly under wraps.

“Travis didn’t understand why Taylor and Joe were so secretive, but now he realizes that it was Joe who wanted to protect his privacy at all costs,” the source explained. “Travis is the complete opposite. He’s pretty much shouting his love for Taylor from every rooftop he can find.”

Swift allegedly “loves” that Kelce doesn’t mind life in the public eye.

“The winner in all of this is Taylor, of course; she loves that her guy is proud of what they have and that he isn’t afraid to show it,” the source added. “She’s never been happier in all her life.”

The pop icon knows how to roam undetected

While Taylor Swift doesn’t shy away from the public (especially with Travis Kelce and his quest for Hollywood stardom), she knows how to roam undetected if needed. A source explained to E! News how she often ventured to the UK while dating Joe Alwyn without anyone knowing.

Swift headed to the UK in a private jet. Upon arrival, she was driven to north London in a blacked-out car.

“Unless you’re part of her inner circle, you wouldn’t know when she is or isn’t here,” the source explained, adding that Swift “barely leaves a trace.”

Alwyn and Swift also rarely left his place, preferring to spend time in his home. Swift and Kelce appear to spend much more time in public for date nights.
