Travis Kelce has no problem showing off his romance with Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs star has talked about dating Swift on his podcast, and he had a moment on stage with her during “The Eras Tour.” In June 2024, he told the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast that he’s “not here to hide anything,” including his relationship.
“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce explained. “That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady. So, it’s like, I’m proud of that. I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this under wraps,’ you know what I mean? We just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”
A source told Life & Style that Kelce initially didn’t “understand” Swift and Alwyn’s private relationship.
“Travis didn’t understand why Taylor and Joe were so secretive, but now he realizes that it was Joe who wanted to protect his privacy at all costs,” the source explained. “Travis is the complete opposite. He’s pretty much shouting his love for Taylor from every rooftop he can find.”
As for Swift, she “loves” that her man is willing to step into the limelight with her. “The winner in all of this is Taylor, of course; she loves that her guy is proud of what they have and that he isn’t afraid to show it,” the source continued. “She’s never been happier in all her life.”

Kelce told Extra host Billy Bush that he “always felt comfortable” in front of cameras.
“I think it was all the home videos my mom used to have with the old camcorder, the handheld joint, at the house,” Kelce explained, adding that he “just always felt comfortable with the camera on me and the lights on me…. I love a good challenge; I get excited for a challenge. Something that I haven’t done before is something that really makes me focus … and there’s something about that that I got a love for.”

Joe Alwyn had reasons to keep his relationship with Taylor Swift private. A source told People that the actor wanted the romance to stay as “his own personal story.” Alwyn also admitted that if he and Swift got engaged, he’d never tell the media.
“If I had a pound for every time I think I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I’d have a lot of pound coins,” he told WSJ Magazine in 2022. “I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say.”
As for why Swift and Alwyn split, it seems they no longer wanted to date due to the “differences” in their personalities.
