Taylor Swift is a chart-topping artist, with Evermore recently receiving a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. This potential win wouldn’t be the first time she earned an award in this category, as Swift currently holds a Grammy record for her original music

Swift recently released “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)” and her version of Red. She’s one of the best-known artists in the music industry, releasing original albums and singles for years.

At the 2021 Grammy Awards, Swift and her co-writers/co-producers received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. That was for Folklore, a collection that featured songs “August,” “Cardigan,” and “My Tears Ricochet.”

In her acceptance speech, Swift mentioned her partner Joe Alwyn, as well as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

“Mostly, we just want to thank the fans,” she continued. “You guys met us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can’t tell you how honored we are forever by this. Thank you so much, and thank you to the Recording Academy. We will never forget that you did this for us. Thank you so much.”

Taylor Swift earned several Album of the Year awards from the Grammys

As of March 2022, Swift has 11 Grammy Award wins. Three of those wins were in the Album of the Year category, making her the only female solo artist to earn the title three times. The first Swift album to earn Album of the Year was her 2008 release Fearless. Red then received the same award several years later.

Other artists currently holding Grammy records include Beyoncé, who has the most wins of any female artist. Billie Eilish became the youngest person to win four of the top Grammys Awards — Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist.

Taylor Swift is (again) nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Grammy Awards

Just months following the release of Folklore, Swift debuted the full-length “sister album” titled Evermore. Complete with songs “Willow,” “Champagne Problems,” and “Gold Rush,” Swift explored music from a folk perspective. She featured HAIM on “No Body, No Crime” and Bon Iver on “Evermore.”

The Grammy Awards announced that Swift is nominated in the Album of the Year category for Evermore. Other nominees in this category include Billie Eilish (Happier Than Ever), Olivia Rodrigo (Sour), and Lil Nas X (Montero).

Swift took to the 2021 Grammys stage to perform Folklore songs with Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff and the National’s Aaron Dessner. However, it’s unclear if she will perform at the 2022 ceremony, as BTS, Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, and Eilish were already confirmed as performers at the upcoming music event.

The 2022 Grammy Awards take place on April 3. Until then, already released music by Swift is available on most major streaming platforms.
