Travis Kelce is reportedly adding even more to his résumé thanks to Taylor Swift. What’s next after trying acting and inking endorsement deals? Music. The NFL player is said to be getting involved in the “Fortnight” singer’s “creative life.”

Swift wants Kelce involved in her ‘creative life’

The 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player is exploring his musical side with help from his Grammy winner girlfriend. According to Life & Style magazine, Swift, 34, wants Kelce, 35, to be very much a part of her music career. Not just joining her on stage like he did over the summer for the Eras tour, but being involved in the creative process—songwriting.

“She loves the idea of integrating Travis into her creative life. He’s already inspired her so much. He’s definitely her new muse,” an insider said. “But she thinks he’s got the potential to be a lot more than just a muse.”

Kelce, they continued, has “got a really good natural rhythm and an eye for lyrics. She’s convinced he’s the type of person that would flourish in the studio.”

If “So High School” is anything to by—one of two tracks from “The Tortured Poets Department” many fans believe to be about Kelce—he’s already inspired lyrics. At one point during the track, Swift seemingly referenced Kelce, who joked with her “that it’s heroin but this time with an ‘E.’”

‘Gifted musically’ Travis is writing song lyrics with Taylor

Kelce’s talents extend beyond the football field as far as Swift is concerned. She, the source claimed, thinks he has “obvious” musical talents.

“Sports has always been such a huge focus for Travis that he hasn’t had the time to develop all his other talents,” the insider said. “But it’s obvious to Taylor that he’s gifted musically and has a natural ear. And she wants to be the one to help bring that out of him.”

“Taylor doesn’t put limits on herself artistically,” they added. “And she doesn’t see why Travis should be put in a box. She wants him to be a part of every aspect of her life, and he’s all for it.”

They also shared that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has “already started writing lyrics” with Swift. Additionally, they’re “getting in studio time for fun.” (Here’s hoping Swift releases a follow-up to her 2020 Miss Americana documentary about her and Kelce’s time in the studio.)

The source added that Kelce will, in some capacity, work with Swift on new music. “Fans should expect him to be included in her next album one way or another,” they said. “The sky’s the limit for these two.”

Will it be a ballad like “Champagne Problems,” the “Evermore” album track Swift collaborated on with her ex-boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn? Or maybe a “1989” type of bop? (The album is one of Kelce’s favorites.) Only time will tell.

For now, Kelce’s main focus is football as the Chiefs attempt a three-peat Super Bowl-winning season. (At the time of writing, they are undefeated.) Swift, meanwhile, is gearing up for the final leg of her Eras world tour. Shows resume on Oct. 18, 2024, in Miami, Florida.
