Taylor Swift says ‘Carolina’ will be released ‘soon’

On Instagram, Swift shared the trailer for Where the Crawdads Sing and revealed that her frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner produced the song.

In the Instagram post, Swift also shared that a full version of “Carolina” will be released “soon,” writing:

“Where The Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side. I wrote the song “Carolina” alone and asked my friend @aarondessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerizing story. You’ll hear it fully soon, but for now check out the @crawdadsmovie trailer for a clip!”

Dessner also shared the Where the Crawdads Sing trailer on Instagram. In his Instagram post, Dessner teased that “Carolina” will be one of Swift’s best songs.

“As always, it was such a pleasure to produce a song with @taylorswift — and Carolina is one of my absolutely favorite songs she’s written. Can’t wait for everyone to hear it! (Go read Where The Crawdads Sing in the meantime while we wait for the movie),” Dessner wrote on Instagram.
