Taylor Swift Will Likely Name Her and Travis Kelce’s Child After Her Grandmother, Experts Bet
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have dated for about a year and seem ultra-serious regarding their future. Some sources claim they have already discussed an engagement and a future wedding. So, what about kids? Here’s what experts predicted regarding the name of Swift and Kelce’s first child if they have children.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will likely name their first child after Swift’s grandmother, experts believe
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have an excellent relationship that appears to be going the distance. And fans fully expect them to get married and start a family. Swift and Kelce haven’t publicly mentioned having children together just yet. However, if they take a break from their careers to raise children, sports traders at Sportscasting.com think they know what the couple will name their first child.
According to the experts, there’s a 14.3% chance that Swift and Kelce will name their first child “Marjorie” if it’s a girl. Swift’s grandmother was named Marjorie, and the pop star wrote a song in her honor. If Swift and Kelce have a baby boy, there’s a 12.5% chance they will name him Edward or Scott.
“Marjorie Swift might have an old-fashioned twang to it, but this is a name we could be seeing a lot more of if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have a baby girl,” Sportscasting.com spokesman Andy Newton said. “This is because the oddsmakers are predicting Swift is favorite to name her first girl after her grandmother, who was a big inspiration for her getting into music.
“If it’s a boy, the betting experts are also suggesting it will be another family theme with both Edward and Scott big fancies due to these being the names of Swift and Kelce’s fathers,” Newton continued. “Scottie Swift has a nice ring to it, and if he ends up following his dad into American football, he’ll need to be fast with a name like that!”
Other popular baby name guesses include Kingsley (11.1% chance), Travis (11.1% chance), Donna (10% chance), Gardner (10% chance), or Andrea (10% chance).
Taylor Swift finds it ‘really emotional’ to sing ‘Marjorie’
Taylor Swift wrote her song, “Marjorie,” about her grandmother Marjorie Finlay. Finlay won a talent contest on the ABC network show Music With the Girls and became an American opera singer. Swift sampled her grandmother’s singing on the track.
“The experience of writing that song was really surreal because I was kind of a wreck at times writing it,” Swift explained in a YouTube clip. “I would sort of break down sometimes. It was really hard to actually even sing it in the vocal booth without sounding like I had sort of break, because it just was really emotional.”
“I think that one of the hardest forms of regret to sort of work through is the regret of sort of being so young when you lost someone that you didn’t have the perspective to learn and appreciate who they are,” Swift reflected.
Travis Kelce allegedly wants to have multiple children with his famous girlfriend
Travis Kelce allegedly wants to have a big family with Taylor Swift. A source told Life & Style that Kelce might want to have kids before he and Swift tie the knot.
“Travis is eager to speed up their relationship timeline,” the source said in April 2024. “He wants to marry Taylor right away and start a family as soon as she’s ready. Travis has been so broody that he’s told Taylor he’s open to having kids before a wedding!”
The source added that Kelce’s “fatherly instincts kick in” when he spends time with his nieces. “Travis is going to be an amazing dad,” they said.
