Taylor Swift is making waves and breaking records with “The Eras Tour” in 2024, and Swifties are dying to know what the superstar is up to for Independence Day. In the past, Swift threw a July 4th bash with her friends every year. However, Swift will have to skip the party in 2024. Here’s why her Fourth of July plans look a lot different this year than they did in the past.

Taylor Swift isn’t throwing her signature July 4th party because of ‘The Eras Tour’

Taylor Swift is known for her Fourth of July parties. She started throwing the holiday parties at her $17 million Rhode Island home in 2013, and the pop superstar became known for the ragers. In 2023, she posted photos of her Fourth of July bash with Selena Gomez and HAIM sisters Alana Haim, Danielle Haim, and Esté Haim.

“Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies,” she captioned the Instagram post with a sunglass-wearing emoji. “See you tonight Kansas Cityyy.”

Past attendees included Lena Dunham, Ingrid Michaelson, Jessica Szohr, Tom Hiddleston, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds.

Fans shouldn’t expect a party post in 2024. Swift will perform “The Eras Tour” in Amsterdam on July 4, 5, and 6.

Swift may bring back her July 4th parties in 2025, as “The Eras Tour” ends after her Dec. 6-8 shows in Vancouver, British Columbia. She announced the tour’s end during a show in Liverpool, England.

“This is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is gonna end in December,” she said. “Like, that’s it. That feels like so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows that we have on the whole tour.”

Fans think her 2023 post about the holiday showed off her ‘single girl era’

Taylor Swift has a completely different mindset in July 2024 than in July 2023. During her Fourth of July bash last year, Swift made her single status clear. She and Joe Alwyn ended their six-year relationship in April 2023, and she and Matty Healy ended their brief romance around June 2023. Swift seemed to embrace the single life with her friends in July 2023, and fans noticed.

“Shook she posted this,” a fan posted on Reddit after Swift posted photos from her July 4, 2023, party. “She’s really in her single girl era, huh?”

“This feels like her realllly trying to drive home that she’s single,” another fan commented.

“Her posting these photos on social media is doubling down on the fact that she is indeed single as opposed to all the tabloid gossip about Taylor getting back with Matty …,” another fan wrote.

Travis Kelce explained his favorite July 4th memories

Will Taylor Swift make new memories with Travis Kelce for the Fourth of July in 2024? It’s unclear if the couple will see each other for the holiday. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother, Jason Kelce, spoke on their podcast, New Heights, about their favorite July 4th traditions.

“Favorite 4th of July memory? I don’t know, drinking beer and eating hot dogs,” Jason said.

“Lighting fireworks?” Travis added.

Jason noted that he and Travis didn’t grow up with fireworks. “Oh, I’m a fireworks man now,” Travis said. “I f***ing love fireworks, dude.”

Will Travis and Swift light fireworks this year to celebrate the summer holiday? Fans will have to wait and see.
