Taylor Swift’s Simple Reason for Not Appearing on Bravo’s New Kansas City Chiefs Reality Show
Sorry, Swifties and Traylor shippers! Taylor Swift’s not expected to appear on Bravo’s new reality show about the wives and girlfriends—or WAGs—of Kansas City Chiefs players. Why? She reportedly doesn’t want to go public with even more of her personal life.
Swift wants to keep ‘what little private life she has left’
The “Fortnight” singer, 34, won’t have Bravo’s cameras film her cheering on Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium as part of the network’s upcoming series, according to People. The same goes for quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, 29.
“Taylor and Brittany are not part of the show at all and will not even be filmed,” an insider close to both women told the outlet. “Taylor especially is very protective of what little private life she has left.”
The source added that while the Grammy winner “enjoys all the ladies she’s met, she will not be part of Bravo’s storyline.”
Swift’s been more public about her and Kelce’s relationship than any of her past romances. She thanked him for being “magic” in her acceptance speech at the 2024 MTV VMAs. They’ve been spotted many times out and about in New York. And, of course, at Chiefs games and her Eras tour concerts.
Viewers won’t see Travis Kelce or other Chiefs players on the Bravo reality show either
Kelce, who began dating Swift in the summer of 2023 after saying he wanted to give her his number on his podcast, isn’t expected to make any appearances either. The three-time Super Bowl champ, who turned 35 on Oct. 5, 2024, without Swift there to celebrate, won’t be a series regular. Nor will his fellow teammates.
Players will rarely, if ever, be featured on the show, sources claimed. So that means no behind-the-scenes moment of Kelce and Swift at Arrowhead Stadium. Instead, fans will have to settle for more of the same—seeing Swift at games in televised broadcasts.
As for the cast, sources shared that Bravo’s following Mecole Hardman Jr.’s fiancée, Chariah Gordon, and Sheawna Weathersby, who shares two children with defensive tackle Chris Jones.
“The action is all centered around Chariah and Sheawna and their group of friends, who all know the struggles of being partners to these workaholic athletes,” a source said.
The details surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs WAGs reality show is ‘a work in progress’
The Chiefs reality show is still in the early stages. Filming has only just started, per a previous People report, and things aren’t solidified quite yet.
“There’s still lots to figure out, including who would be a part of the final cast. And whether there’s enough there to build a full series around,” a source told the publication. “It’s very much a work in progress.”
Until the Bravo series makes it to air, fans will get to see more of Swift cheering on Kelce when he and the Chiefs play the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7, 2024. Kelce confirmed she’d be there following her absence from two away games.
