Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were in high spirits before Super Bowl LIX. The couple were spotted with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes at the French restaurant Lilette on Magazine Street in New Orleans. A source told DailyMail.com that Swift was “super chatty” and in an “amazing and fun mood” while with her boyfriend and the Mahomes. Another source told the publication that the group was “very normal and had a complete blast” while out to dinner.
So, what did Swift and Kelce order? According to the publication, the couple shared the restaurant’s Louisiana crab claws with passion fruit butter. For their main meals, Swift ordered the seared Kobe beef burger, which came with a gremolata and a sesame seed bun. For her side, the pop star had fries. The entree was $24. As for Kelce, he reportedly ordered the grilled hangar steak, which came with marrowed bordelaise and fries for $37.
While the couples reportedly looked to be in a “tremendously good mood” at dinner, Kelce and Patrick’s appearance at the restaurant just 48 hours before the Super Bowl sparked controversy. Typically, players have curfews they abide by before a big game. Kelce and Patrick might not have broken any rules, but some fans may believe that they weren’t as focused on the Super Bowl as they could’ve been.

Travis Kelce’s life has changed immensely since dating Taylor Swift. In the past, he reportedly loved to talk to fans and waitstaff who knew him as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. However, he and Swift are sticklers for security when they go out to eat now. An insider told The U.S. Sun that the couple calls restaurants ahead of time to ensure their privacy will be respected.
“Taylor’s security calls the restaurants beforehand to request a private room for the couple,” the insider alleged. “They request workers not serving them in the private room to refrain from interacting with them or asking for photos to avoid drawing attention.”
Despite the added security measures the couple must take, Kelce has said that he and Swift adore trying new restaurants. “That’s what we do. We like to go out and eat,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast.
The tight end admitted that his pop star girlfriend helped him try new foods
Taylor Swift opened Travis Kelce’s world in more ways than one. Not only is Kelce interested in delving into the entertainment business now, but he’s also open to trying new foods.
“You know, I’m starting to open up to the Indian cuisine,” Kelce told his brother on the podcast.
“I know, my girl Tay is getting you opened up,” Kelce’s brother said, adding that it’s been “one of greatest things” he’s been “happy about.”
Kelce noted that he liked curry — but his enjoyment of the food had conditions. “I’m in on a light curry,” he said. “The more it gets thicker and it looks like a baby food or like baby s***, then I’m out.”
In October 2024, a source told Life & Style that Swift felt “a little guilty” for Kelce appearing a bit out of shape, as she influenced his offseason eating habits.
