Teddi Mellencamp Returning to ‘RHOBH’ Season 11 Despite Getting Fired
Teddi Mellencamp was one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The reality TV personality joined in season 7 and announced her departure after season 10. Fans thought they had seen the last of Mellencamp on the Bravo series but that is not completely true. The health coach has recently confirmed she will be making an appearance in season 11 after getting the ax.
Why did Teddi Mellencamp leave ‘RHOBH’?
Mellencamp held a diamond on RHOBH for four full seasons. The reality TV personality was involved with some of the biggest season arc storylines during her time on the show. Mellencamp participated in the “Puppy Gate” scandal and fans credit her with taking down Lisa Vanderpump. During her last season, Mellencamp confronted Denise Richards about the allegations raised by Brandi Glanville claiming to have “hooked up” with her.
After announcing Bravo did not renew her contract, Mellencamp opened up about getting the boot.
“I think it’s because you didn’t see a lot of me, other than in drama this year,” Mellencamp revealed in October 2020 on Us Weekly’s Getting Real with the Housewives podcast.
Mellencamp felt that the show did not feature many of the scenes she shot, creating an inaccurate perception of her.
“If you only see me when I’m in an argument, it’s hard to see the whole picture. I wish we could have seen more of the fun stuff but it’s a TV show,” she added.
Teddi Mellencamp and Kyle Richards hold a friendship
When Mellencamp announced she was leaving RHOBH, Kyle Richards was one of the first to react publicly. Both stars became real close friends thanks to their time on the show. They have both shared their friendship with viewers over the years and Richards expressed her gratitude toward Mellencamp.
“To my friend Teddi Mellencamp, who I love and adore… I am so grateful for RHOBH for bringing you into my life,” Richards posted on Instagram in September 2020. “You are an amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, you work so hard, always giving it your all. You are so smart, kind, thoughtful, funny, and real.”
Richards closed off her beautiful message saying that she was looking forward to seeing what her friend did next.
Kyle Richards had to ‘drag’ Teddi Mellencamp to return to ‘RHOBH’
Proving that their friendship was not only for television, Mellencamp and Richards have also continued their relationship. Mellencamp recently started a podcast and Richards was a guest on it where they revealed a fun tidbit.
“Yes, well obviously,” the Halloween Kills star said on the Teddi Tea Pod podcast about Mellencamp returning to RHOBH as a guest star. “I mean, I had to drag you, but you did.”
Mellencamp remained mum about her appearance on RHOBH Season 11 but did acknowledge she was “there” when cameras were filming. Viewers will have to wait and see if Mellencamp makes the cut or if editors scrap her appearance.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
