Kailyn Lowry has finally admitted that she is pregnant with her fourth child. Rumors started swirling that Lowry was expecting another baby when a family member of Chris Lopez shared an ultrasound picture on Instagram. Lowry refused to acknowledge the stories immediately, but she’s since revealed that she is, in fact, expecting. Lopez’s family clearly took the joy out of the announcement, but now it looks like the Lopez family has stolen another milestone reveal from Lowry. Lopez took to Instagram to hint at the gender of the former couple’s second child together.

Kailyn Lowry finally reveals that she is expecting

While Lopez’s aunt dropped the pregnancy bomb on the world via Instagram in early January 2020. Lowry kept things quiet until Feb. 4. She has since taken to Instagram to share the news. In the sweet photo, Lowry is seated on her bed with her three sons. Her eldest child, Issac, just turned 10 years old. Lowry shares her second son, Lincoln, with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin. Lux is Lowry’s youngest child. She shares him with Chris Lopez. Lopez is the father of the unborn baby, too.

Fans of Lowry will already know why the father of the upcoming child is missing from the photo. Lopez, who has confirmed he’s the father of baby number 4, currently can not have contact with Lowry. An order of protection was issued in October 2019. October 2019 is around the time Lowry would have conceived. A warrant was also recently issued for Lopez’s arrest after he reportedly violated the terms of the order.

Did Chris Lopez reveal the gender of baby number 4?

With the pregnancy officially confirmed, Lopez took to social media to share a story. Lopez, who has been notoriously camera-shy, shared a lengthy post about all the things he’d want to say to his unborn child. The letter, attributed to A.J Brown, is filled with wishes for a  carefree and happy life. The note itself is a bit bittersweet but doesn’t give away any details. Lopez, however, added a caption to his post.

Over the post, Lopez embossed the phrase “Young King” and added a blue heart emoji. The use of the term and the blue emoji has led followers to believe that Lowry is expecting another baby boy. She has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor. While a doctor can usually tell the gender of a baby between 16 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, early detection tests are now available that may accurately predict gender as early as 12 weeks, according to the Bump. It is not known if Lowry opted for an early gender reveal.  

Lopez and Lowry have a complicated history

Lopez and Lowry’s relationship is a pretty complex one, and if Lopez did reveal the gender of their upcoming child without her consent, things are probably going to get even dicier. The pair started dating sometime in 2016, but it appears they’ve been friendly for years. It didn’t take long for the hush-hush relationship to come to light, though. Lopez and Lowry welcomed their first child together in August 2017.

The relationship had plenty of starts and stops over the years, it would seem, but as of January 2019, Lowry insisted she was absolutely done with Lopez, according to Us Weekly. Clearly, that was not the case. They were spotted together, off and on, throughout 2019. Now, with a restraining order in place, it’s safe to say their relationship is done, at least for now. How they’ll navigate co-parenting two children together remains to be seen.
