‘Teen Mom 2’: David Eason in Hot Water After Verbally Intimidating Daughter on a Phone Call
David Eason and Jenelle Evans have gotten into some trouble in the past when it came to their parenting. Last year, they lost custody of their children after David shot the family dog in front of the kids. Now, the former Teen Mom 2 stars have been posting YouTube videos to shed some light on their custody battle. In the latest video, Eason had a pretty uncomfortable conversation with his daughter.
Why did Jenelle Evans and David Eason lose custody?
Teen Mom fans have questioned both David and Evans’ parenting styles over the years but things came to a head when David shot Evans’ dog. He opened up about the situation in his and Evans’ I Have Something to Say series on YouTube.
“She was a loving dog to me, but she was not loving toward our kids at all,” David said. “I loved the dog, the kids loved it. But she didn’t love the kids. Anytime we were taking a video of the kids riding their bikes, playing outside, we’d have to delete the video, not even be able to post it because she didn’t play nice. She would bite their feet, she would bite the wheels on her bicycle. She wasn’t always vicious, but she had a lot of vicious tendencies. She really was kinda mean. We put up with it for a long time.”
David Eason and Jenelle Evans ridicule their daughter
Evans’ video series has been showing new details of her and David’s fight to get their kids back. In the fifth installment of the YouTube series, Evans described how David’s daughter, Maryssa Eason, testified against them.
“Her story went from last time ‘David pushed down a door with his two bare hands,’” Evans said mimicking Maryssa. “Now it’s ‘David ripped a screen door off the front door’ – we never had a screen door. A few minutes later she goes ‘we don’t have screen doors on anything.’”
“Then she [Maryssa] said she acts happy even when it’s a candid video that I’ve presented to the court.
“And she claims that she’s been scared and not wanted to live with us for the past two years and not wanted to live with us in the first place,” Evans continued.
Now, in the newest video, David is heard having a phone conversation with Maryssa, in which she cries for nearly the whole phone call. On the 2019 call, David asked Maryssa if she could talk to him to which she replied “no.”
“I don’t want to get in trouble when I get over there,” Maryssa cried.
David continued to insist that Maryssa had never been in trouble with him.
“Don’t argue with the situation,” he said. “Just stay calm. You’re creating a situation in your head that doesn’t even exist.
“You’re crying and sobbing when nothing has ever happened to you,” he continued. “Stop putting on a show or a facade when there’s nothing wrong. You still can’t give a reason why you’re scared.”
The video now has over 1,000 comments, many of which berate David and Evans for showcasing such an intimate conversation and talking to Maryssa in the manner in which David did.
